ok sorry but i need to be guided step by step, i've never used reshade, enbs or anything like that. I've downloaded and installed reshade, installed sweet hd (autoinstaller) and started the game via NMM I've been greeted by reshade but in the menu (shift - F2) i can't find sweet hd anywhere and when i press delete nothing happens. What step did i miss? Thank You
Download the optional (Settings) - Sweet HD FO4 v1.X - Hotkeys - Toggle effects - Delete Key, That will make where you can turn the effect on an off to see the difference.
do i need to look for that version of reshade (i've installed Version 3.0.5) and sweet fx too? because i didn't make a separate download for sweetFX thinking that the file here contained the preset...
Remove the new versions and just use the installer included in the file . If you installed the update then my files are now overwritten.
Download the main file and extract it (to your desktop or somewhere easy to find) Then run the installer first (as administrator), then copy the sweet hd folder over to your game directory, (that error message sounds like you are missing the config files) Download that previous optional file to remap your key to delete. paste it into your game directory as well. say yes to overwrite

Finally everything works fine as i thought from the beggining i made some confusion with that separate reshade download. Thank you very much for your patience and your help, but most of all for your work! despite the fact that i'm not using any enb right now the change is already very neat and i can't/won't go back to the original setting anymore I'm running on ultra with all the vivid's package installed and i've tested it around the wasteland, very busy and populated settlements and some major firefights around boston and i can say that i haven't encountered any loss in fps despite the fact that i've mistakenly left some Chrome tabs on! thank you again for everything!
What did you do to figure this out? I tried to install this and got the same error you did: common/fallout 4/sweetFX/shaders\main.h(62, 11):preprocessor error: redefinition of 'USE_SHARED'
I'm pretty sure I didn't have a pre-existing installation of ReShade. Do I have to install it from somewhere?

there is a reason it doesn't look like this right off the bat, same goes for any game. This isn't a secret technique that magically improves how games look. Increasing contrast like this and sharpening will in many cases surely obscure detail and crush blacks and ruin many color gradients. And distant, small details will look pretty bad. It looks unnatural, especially the foliage. Sharpening is the bane of art, thinking it is improving the visuals or making it "hd" is deluded, a placebo - in reality sharpening is an artifact, one that doesn't belong there.
The one screenshot with sunny day, makes the day not feel like a bright sunny day anymore the way it was intended.
I can agree with DoF, but then again vanilla game has dof too.
The game has a specific artstyle and atmosphere, ppl should stop trying to reinvent it. But it doesn't look bad by any means, at least it doesn't look like shitty instagram filter like other ENBs.
While I agree with most of your points, saying "ppl should stop trying to reinvent it" isn't really fair, they aren't made for you specifically, if you don't like how some ENBs look, then just don't use them.
Any chance of a nexus installer? tried to install myself, but i'm not good with these kinda things and i broke the game( wont launch). i made a backup before i added it so all good, but i would love to try this mod.
Hello. Installed this and found it a bit dark. I uninstalled, but I still have "Reshader" information stuck on top left corner of my screen, even during gameplay. How do I get rid of this message? I'm pretty sure I uninstalled everything. I think this message registered once I ran the reshade exe as admin. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
