Hello and thanks for your mods. I wanted to change the color of the berry mentats effect because I'm color blind and the default color is almost impossible to see.
Would I change that by editing the Magic Effect Data, Hit Shader value from DetectLifeFXS [EFSH:0022517c] to some other value? Is 22517c supposed to be a hex color code?
I feel like this ought to be a trivial problem and I just need to be pointed in the right direction. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
Edit: Ok, I think I found the color values under Effect Shader, Fill/Texture Effect - Color Key. Still having a hard time getting it to take effect in game, but since it's more of a general modding question, and not related to anything your mod touches, I'll take it elsewhere. Thanks anyway.
Hi, since no one happened to answer your question, I was passing by and decided to search the answer for you. I think it is not the correct hex code, since the colors don't match. The Berry Mentats effect is of a pinkish purple and this hex code returns a pale blue.
It modifies the underlying "magic effect" and "spell" that berry mentats use. I'd imagine if another mod made use of the same effects my mod would affect them too.
I didn't mean another game mod, the Targeting HUD effect is vanilla, though I think you can only get it in Power Armor helmets in vanilla. If you're messing with the underlying effect though, it should probably work, yeah. I'll test it in a bit.
Does it also highlight corpses too? Because i might not have a power armor helmet if it breaks and i wont be able to see bodies if they fly away via explosion ^^;

No, it doesn't affect the targeting HUD power armor mod, you'll need Customizable Targeting HUD by C4P0N3 for that
If you want to highlight corpses have a look at Loot Detector - Scrapper Corpse Highlighting by xatmos, it works really well
