i have the same but without power armor i used the alternative start and i became a forged member,but i killed 1 guy with a flamer and now im burning to death WHY!!!!
Sure the Flamer is a bit weak... Like all heavy weapons somehow, like the Minigun and Laser Gatling in vanilla state. Actually they should be more powerful than usual weapons, that's why it is a "heavy" weapon- but you can reach more with fully upgraded Pistol than a flamer could ever do.
I'm thinking of just using this ESP file, which increase the dmg, not really needing the ground burning half of a year.
EDIT: Hell, I had to uninstall this mod again! You said it is a "bit" OP? This is rather totally endless OP! Ö.Ö I one hit every enemy with it, even Elite Legendary enemies are just one hit!

Are you sure it's not a conflict? I do not believe it works with the realistic damage mod or whatever it's called as it edits the same file. If you could, try running the vanilla version then adding the mod, or verify your game on steam. If that doesn't work check and see if you've activated both ESPs because as of right now they are dependent on one another, I'll change that once I have the time to sit down and work on this again.

Fighting against the forge while in power armor I get lit on fire endlessly. This could be a conflict with the better power armor mod.
