Some jackass decided to rip mods directly from nexus and I filed a DMCA at Mediafire since they are hosting the download and this is my message proving it was me who filed the DMCA takedown.

Hello Karen at Mediafire, yes that DMCA was correct, I am the original author.

      Nice necro post. :P

The hilarious thing about this DMCA fight is I'm pretty sure this is the exact opposite of a mod. Looks like a dummy file that changes the original spatter into a blank 0% opaque one.

is it possible to not completely remove the blood splatter but only make it appear for like... 2 second before the blood splatter gone?
while it does remove the annoying blood splatter, it does also break the immersion of the game.

Having the screen blood breaks immersion for me, so sorry that's not something I would do if I could. Ask some of the modders who are tweaking the UI, they may be able to help you since that would be a UI element.

Having blood splatter on the screen is actually extremely UNrealisitc as it would never happen.

Not that it matters by now, but in case you wanted to know...

It's "Spatter". Blood spatters, it doesn't spLatter. Didn't you watch Dexter?

Splatter, which came later and was probably formed by blending splash and spatter, has a similar meaning, but it doesn’t necessarily involve small drops. A splatter of liquid might be large and messy. For example, paint from an upturned bucket might splatter on the floor. Think of spatter as a synonym of sprinkle or spit, and splatter as closer to splash.

Still, this conventional distinction notwithstanding, the words are often used interchangeably.

      Necro for info.

It's referred to as 'BloodSplatter' in the game files. So using that term for the mod is completely legit.

1sandfuture was wrong anyway - spatter means very small droplets, like out of a kitchen spray bottle or at the biggest say scattered raindrops on a window, but splatter is larger messy, splashing amounts. Pro-tip: don't get your facts from TV dramas.

I didn't see that setting, just lensflares. But because Bethesda is notorious for resetting ini files I do the textures anyway so I don't get a "Surprise! were back!" bullcrap.

      [ScreenSplatter]
      bBloodSplatterEnabled=1

8th line down in the Fallout4.ini file.

Found it earlier. oddly enough before the .ba2 unpacker was released it was already set to 0 and I still had blood on the screen. Not a big deal, this makes it so the ini setting can be set to default and there still wont be any screen blood. One less setting to worry about when making ini adjustments for the next 4 or 5 years.

FWIW that setting used to be heavily bugged in previous games. I'd avoid using it until we know if it's fixed, and just use this mod.

I've had similar experiences with Skyrim, but if it works without crashing there's no reason not to use it. .ini tweaks are definitely safer than mods, although this seems to be a texture mod.

Why not to use "bBloodSplatterEnabled=0" .ini tweak instead?
Fallout 4 Configuration Tool can set the config files to read-only after modifying: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/102

This is great! It always bothered me that using the Institute's relay made you appear with a spray of blood in your eyes. That would mean you aren't materializing correctly and your body would be riddled with internal injuries, which would most likely be fatal. (You might argue that teleportation is already unrealistic, but making it even MORE unbelievable with this blood spray doesn't help any.) Now if I could only find a mod where heads don't ever pop off neatly at the neck when you shoot someone in the face, but keep the chance to be entirely pulped...

Jumping off a high location in power armor as well, you take no damage but splat...

One of my pet peeves against game programmers. Those that think it's a good idea to splash crap on the screen. Rain is usually the worst culprit. Who in their right mind would think humans can see a bunch of raindrops on their eyeballs? Thanks a bunch for posting this!

Witcher 3 and rain or using a boat... Made the game unplayable for me. I don't mind the power armor rain drops in first person because that's supposed to be your view from inside it but anything tossed on the camera in third person needs to just go.

Yay!! MrsHandy posted a screenshot! I like those better than an endorsement to be honest, so your late endorsement is much forgiven and the screenshot gets much thanks.

Hello, I would like to weaken or reduce the smoke concentration jetpack, and when I use the third person perspective game, that smoke often obstruct the line of sight, do you know which pa2 file?

You can already disable this without a mod if you just edit the string in the fallout4.ini, and also disable all gore!

Thanks, not like someone else didn't say something already and my explanation. Glad it works for you and every time the .ini file gets reset you keep having to fix it. I prefer making it not depend on the ini file.

The other post about the ini settings I did state it was shut off when I made the mod, in other words the game didn't care what the ini said.

The ini wasn't messed up in any way. only a few 1's were changed into 0's at that time. DOF was one of them and underwater was another.
