And again years later I stumbled across a good mod just by chance. Also the 2 tutorial videos are well explained and I immediately entered the shp codes for testing and it worked. Thank you!   (see Media IMAGES)

Going from vanilla lighting to this took a bit of getting used to.  But now I cannot go back.  The name of this mod is on point.  Super mod, great job.  Definitely recommend it.

This mod is amazing and as far as I can tell is still working with True Storms, but I haven't tested much. Though, in LOOT, it says it's missing the TrueStormsFO4.esp file. Based on the True Storms mod description, it looks like it used to be a .esp file but since it is now .esm, this mod doesn't realize it's there. Is there any way to edit this mod, to make it look for TrueStormsFO4.esm isntead of TrueStormsFO4.esp? I am not too familiar with modding, but if anyone can point me in the right direction, I could try and make a patch.

Looking back at this mod I think I made the daytime too dim. The reason is because I wanted to fix the washed out look that Bethesda went for. I agreed with Bethesda for the washed out look but only for when you first come out of the vault. Then you quickly start to want to see the graphics better and not so washed out all the time. As I was fixing the washed out look, I wanted to make sure and be able to see every detail so I can appreciate the graphics more. In my quest to lower light levels in order to lessen the washed out look I was able to expose much of the details that I previously was unable to see due to them being washed out. Including words on a sign to the point of not being able to read them any longer. I was just getting started with this mod and I still had/have a lot to learn. One thing I learned is that if you want a properly bright daytime look, you have to settle for a certain degree of washed out look. You will see this in other games as well. I think if I were to finish this mod, I would make the daytime a little brighter as currently it appears as if you are wearing shades. I would like to hear all of your opinions on this.

I would say a bit brighter, during the daytime.

Thanks for the reply. The only indoor places that I finished was Vault 111 and Red Rocket. Looking back at my pictures I feel the indoor lights should have been brighter. I lowered their light in order to be able to read signs and see nearby details but in order to have a proper looking light you need to have it wash out the nearby details just a little or it will look too dim. I guess in reality staring at a bright light would wash out some detail near the light. If I were to finish this mod, I think I would raise daytime light levels and on indoor light sources to make it more realistic. Any feedback is much appreciated.

Yeah, that sucks. I really wanted my mod to be compatible with Fading Signal's True Storms mod. I really loved his mod. But since I stepped away, I am sure that the functionality between the two has been broken. I am really sorry for not finishing this mod. I still think about it from time to time.

Wow, it's really amazing to step away from this mod for so many years and come back to see how much  attention it has garnered. I had many things I wanted to do with this mod. I was just getting started. If I came back and finished it, I could make it so awesome. One thing that really agitated me about the lighting to fallout 4 is that it will not show moonlight reflecting of the water. It shows sunlight reflections but not moonlight. That really pissed me off, and I spent hours trying to correct that and never could figure out how. It's as if the game programmers didn't include that ability at all. I would have to learn to reprogram their game in order to fix that and honestly, it's not beyond me if I had the time.

Your very welcome. I'm glad to meet other people who can appreciate a properly dark night. You must be a hardcore player. Do you remember the days of Hardcore Diablo 2? Those were the days. They sure don't make games like they used to.

Fyi, I used this mod before I discovered I can do that with just the base enb (not modded)... You want a clear night, a blood moon, the enb base can already do that and many many more using the environment, sky, sun, clouds and moon cursors... And you can do different tweaks for the dusk, sunrise, night, sunset, interior, exterior, ect...

Here just a simple shot customized in game in 1mn.

That's really cool! Had I saw this in the beginning, I doubt I would have ever got around to making a mod. I'm glad I made the mod though. It was fun and I learned a lot.

Sorry for the late reply. If you look in the beginning of this video, you can see how to add the mod to the game. Or you could just use the Nexus Mod Manager.
