Hi, I logged in for the first time in about 2.5 years.

Load Accelerator seems to still work and be effective with NextGenUpdate (1.10.980.0.1).

I don't know if this mod is worth using in the future, but there seems to be some confusion on how to apply it, so I added a few things to the description. Also added Troubleshooting and FAQs article. Thank you to everyone who posted information.

I hope that the loading time issue will be officially resolved.

Works perfectly - originally when installed through Vortex, the files were installed to the Data folder, which meant the mod didnt work. I uninstalled and manually extracted the files myself to the main Fallout 4 folder, now the mod works :)

What was an average of 2-8 minutes loading times is now an average of 5-9 seconds.

after consulting the forums here and fine tuning the config of the mod, works great even on the latest patch of FO4 and no F4SE

My fps in the menu and loading screen are stuck at 144 which is my freesync monitors refresh rate, although I did remove the limit in the Nvidia settings. Any suggestions?

(Solved: Unfortunately, I cannot get it to work (no blinking arrow in the lower right corner, no effect on loading times). I am using mod organizer to start the game (playing Magnum Opus), could that be a problem?

Edit: Nevermind, I put it in the original steam folder, not the Magnum Opus folder.)

I just spent a boatload of money on a new rig and I thought it was going to eat a heavy modded fallout 4 for lunch. I was so wrong until I found this mod. Great job you saved the day, and my sanity. I have to say also that the ENB you recommended got rid of a lot of strange flickering, stuttering. I assumed an ENB would make it worse. My 4090 is smooth now.

I've been suffering thorugh Fallout 4's horrendous load times since it came out, the more I upgraded my pc, the worse it seemed to get. Sat through one today that lasted 8 minutes and 37 seconds (I timed it). My pc is very potent so it was agony to go through. Thank you wonderful mod maker!

For anyone having the acceleration never turn off, find "AutoDetectLoadingState = true" in the Load Accelerator config file and change it to "AutoDetectLoadingState = false". That is what fixed it for me. It then started to act properly and only kick in during loading screens.

Yes! This fixed it for me too. The defined value for ingame fps had no impact unless I changed the "AutoDetectLoadingState" to false.

Works like a charm, with GSync and fps fixed to 82 (1/2 refresh rate). Feels very smooth and no physics acting weird.

      Thanks man!

Oh my god thank you for saying this I was going bonkers trying to figure out why the ingame fps wasn't capped when I set it to 83

This worked very well for me. I will note one thing however. My FPS was going to 200 / 300's while in-game. This caused strange things like lock picking to be super sensitive and my player character's animations seemed sped up. I went to NVIDIA > Control Panel > Manage 3D settings > application (Fallout4) and forced VSYNC to remain On rather than the default of Off. My monitor runs at 60hz and it brought the FPS to 60/61 steady. Now the load screens are fast AND the game runs normally. This was a life saver. I otherwise could not stand waiting minutes upon minutes for the ridiculous load screen times. Now everything loads within seconds.
Edit: This is on the next gen update (latest patch) which I was also happy it worked seeing how it hasn't been touched in years.

Would this mod disable achievements for me? Or would I have to download another mod that enables achievements?

all mods disable achievments, requiring another mod to re-enable them, including this one

This mod does not disable achievements for me on Steam. It does not appear as a mod within the game either.

In game limit is set to 90 but game seems to only cap at 60? Any ideas?

    Game Vysnc on
    Driver Vsync controllable by game
    Driver FPS cap - no
    Loading correctly jumps to 350

Edit: FIXED by setting driver vsync to "OFF". Not ideal for GYSYNC users, but it will do. Thanks for the mod, game is basically broken without it for me!
