Fallout 4

Some people have reported that the fog filters are not working, but the issue comes down to a perceptual one, unless the scripts aren't firing at all, which is a local/configuration issue, not a bug.

You can tell if they're working as intended if they stop radiation damage during rad storms when you're nearby.

If you watch the video, there are extra "blowing / rolling fog" effects that attach to the camera that persist when inside exterior structures (i.e. a settlement-made structure.) The fog filter turns those off when it's placed inside a settlement structure, and also stops radiation from damaging you if you're in their vicinity, so you can get some shelter from rad storms.

Please note that it does not turn off the regular "distance fog" that is present, which can be quite close to the player. I can't modify that because there are no functions to turn it back on in a clean way.  This is more to resolve those big particle effects blowing straight through walls.

I swear, I was going crazy.

I'd had the filters working previously. And then I got grumpy and installed a few more mods and started a new game. And then I noticed that the filters were no longer working.

So I tried tearing down my building and reconstructing it, but smaller. Nope.
I tore it down again and built a teeny tiny shack. Nope, still foggy indoors.
I dug through my mod list with xEdit, found some weather overrides I didn't like and patched them. Nope, and now the fog is even more noticeable.
I rebuilt the shack again, but with wood pieces from the base game instead of barn pieces from Far Harbor. Huh... I think the fog is gone? No, the weather changed to not have any fog.

Oh I know! I'll use the control holotape to change the weather to foggy, so I can keep testing.
Hang on, I don't have one in my inventory. I guess I'll just craft the pair.

Hrm, I can't remember what the mod's settings are. I'll check the settings holotape for the hell of it.
    "[True Storms Effects: OFF]"

Learn from my failures. Remember to actually turn the mod on.

Friend, you just saved me HOURS of bug testing. My TS Effects setting was off also, turning it back on instantly solved the problem. Good find!

So what do you do if the radiation removal effect doesn't work? I get no radiation from rain, but the thunder claps still irradiate me. I tried putting TS lower on the load order and restarting it, but it doesn't seem to work.

I have the same issue. Sincew the very beginning. There has to be a conflict with some other mod (ven though I don't use anything weather related). Shame there's no reasonable support for that. In any case - a wooden shack (nor any other building from the workshop) would not in fact protect from a Rad storm....

Same issue here. They remove fogs and all that inside of fake-interiors but the thunder claps still irradiate me no matter what I do, in both premade structures(such as the houses in Sanctuary) and in self-built shelters, both with the machine-thingies built of course.

Update: Okay so it seems to be working but only for True Storms own radstorm weathers. The Commonwealth Radstorm however ignores shelter.
