Thanks uploader. Works fine. This is how the food sanitizer should work. Endorsed!

Guys he can't modify that way. The way he used was add a condition that when you are using the sanitizer that the Radiation doesn't count. There are NO setting in his mod for percentage etc. This would require more complex scripting, What I did is take his mod and remove the Natural foods from his list, Munchy fruit, Molerat meat, etc. And only had the sanitizer clean Prewar food and nukacola etc. This really changed the way I look at food now. Now I look for those nukacola's or prewar food because they have no RADS with the sanitizer. This kinda does the effect everyone wants where it doesn't remove radiation completely from the game and adds a strategy behind what to eat.

I would love to see a food sanitizer that gradually sanitizes irradiated food and drink in your inventory depending on your medical skill. i.e. the higher your medical skill, the faster it will work. So, if your med skill is 25%, it would change 1 bottle of "dirty water" to clean water every 24 game hours. 50% med skill? 2 bottles per day, etc.

As an incentive to let the sanitizer work, perhaps the food in your inventory could become slightly more valuable (no more than 20%) as the radiation is removed and it gets cleaner.

I agree with sbrengard... I'd love a version that doesn't increase HPs but decreeases rads 50%. Although, if that was impossible, I'd be happy with no rads, no HP bonus.

This will be very useful in conjunction with one of the mods that reduces the amount of medication (including RadAway) you find in the wastelands and in traders' stock. I've used the one from the XFO package ("Fallout 3 Balance Overhaul" or what it's called) for some time - this will make the food sanitizer actually worth carrying around, finally. Will rate once I've played with this for a while.

As far as the "balance" of this mod, I personally believe the weight of the food and low restoration values balance this mod. Besides, your weightless Radaway can take away about 80 rads, or more depending on your medicine skill. So I think complaining about 2 or 3 rads per food item is niggling at best.

It alomost takes RADS out of the game ... which I think is a nice element of inventory control. Perhaps 50% less rads, or all rads but drop the +20% HP restoration effect.

Thank you so much. When I saw I got the food san from Moria I thought it would remove fricken rads to make food a bit more reasonable to eat. This is how I feel it should of functioned
