Lovely mod and thank you very much.

If anyone wants to change the color to something other than blue, green, or amber, there's a pretty easy way to do it yourself so the author needn't post new files:

    1. Exit Fallout 3 and run GECK. If it isn't installed yet, do it and make sure you set the install path to the same directory that contains Fallout3.exe.
    2. Once GECK is up, select File -> Data.
    3. Select "LED pipboy light.esp" (or "LED pipboy light extended.esp" if you're using that option) and click "Set as Active File" so the box is checked.
    4. Click OK and wait for the data files to load. It may take a minute or two depending on your computer.
    5. In the Object Window, type "pipboylight640" (without quotes) in the Filter box. Then click *All at the bottom.
    6. Double-click the PipboyLight640 item that appears to the right.
    7. Click the "Select Color" button in the window that comes up.
    8. Here you can choose any color you want.
    9. Once your color is picked, click OK and OK again to get back to the main GECK window.
    10. Select File -> Save. Then quit GECK and you're done (quitting GECK will also take a while so give it time).

Making changes like this will move the LED pipboy light esp to the bottom of your load order, so make sure you move it back to the position it was at previously before you start the game again.

it's a wonder how you fit a incandescent light bulb in a pipboy i know they don't have transistors but with all the technology they had you think you'd get a light with some sort of better technology than a tugsten filiment that could burn out.

Thank you thank you thank you! =D

Finally I see something in this game ^^

Otherwise always: *eyes far open* Is there something or not? O.O

I use the Mod naturally in green because of green lacks the game ^^
All is gray-brown and red-brown and sand-brown and dark-brown and light-brown and matte brown and ... just brown.

I gave this mod a shot (the extended-length blue light version). It's not quite for me and I'm not going to use it outside of my initial testing, but I respect it and it has my endorsement.

My personal Pip-Boy Light mod of choice is the lantern replacer: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/8619/? (it's only about 95%-99% perfect, but it's cool for people who prefer a more torch-light kind of experience).

Thanks for this mod. You made it possible for me to see again. I hated the original pip boy light.
    Again thank you.

I did blueish to simulate the way most led strip light 12v look, but yeah I could make a green led strip 12v tinted version easily enough.

EDIT: By request I uploaded a green version. Let me know if you think the color should be adjusted at all.

I am also going to work waterproof led strip light on an extended range version of both colors, as I think it could use a bit better range outdoors, especially for those that use Darker Nights or a similar mod. I will probably also add an amber version.

How do i install an LED strip to my car?
so i've decided to add LED lights to the interior of my car. there are a few things i'd like to get clarified before i attempt to start this project. its just going to be a simple on/off function with no pulsating or changing colors.

Wow, really? It is a bit late for April fools... Did you really join a computer game forum to ask how to pimp your car? May have better luck appealing to the Big Dawg himself, e-mail is [email protected]

I love the blue LED, this was one of my favorite mods when I was playing FO3 the last time around. But this time I seem to have lost my pipboy light altogether, when I hold tab no light shows. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I am not suggesting its linked to this file for one second by the way.

I have endorsed this file as its brilliant.

Thanx for all the comments guys. I don't really play FO3 any more, but glad to see my little mod is still being used and appreciated.
