Mod is what it is and won't be updated.

I'll help where I can with issues but it's been so long I'm not familiar with F03 as much anymore. Lost a lot of the lingo.

Thanks all for the screenshots, endorsements and comments over the years.

I know how to fix crashes/enter megaton crash.(way in the description not work 4me)
Download FO3Edit, load on this minihideout, open this on FormID, scroll down, left click on last Worldspace and REMOVE this, app ask you "are you sure" and you need to wait 3 sec, remove and save, thats all. Sry for my bad english.

This is a better explanation for the solution by WestSmykuu :
In FO3Edit, you have to click on the "+" next to Worldspace, then again for the line behind, the remove only the "Bloc -1, 1" line. Then save it and it should work perfectly fine.

Hilariously a car spawned on top the switch is to open the hideout, going back in comments I see a lot of people couldn't find the switch, I found it by using ~tcl (turning off clipping). Perhaps the car isn't there if you add the mod before a playthough, but it is if you add it later.  I don't know.

For some reason this mod crashes the game when passing time,
Pressing T, then W crashes the game
And when I disable this mod it works fine

Been playing and replaying FO3 since launch. Remember waiting for it to come out after finishing FO1 and FO2 multiple times. Have played with a LOT of mods, even Wabbajack and TTW stuff. Just doing a mostly vanilla playthrough and tried this mod for the first time. Never needed another home, Megaton was always sufficient for me. But, tried this mod and am loving it. 67 year old gamer here, thank you very much for this mod. Take care.

I know: mod is what is - but it have a kritical bug. At automitic move instruments (hideout terminal - stockpile...) - instruments is gone: glue and fire hose - 100%, other is not test. Or meat of molerat: 59pcs from 150 hours of game? - not correct. Don't use a hideout terminal!

Update: founded instruments at a little drawer in the workbench...

This is one of the first mods I ever installed. F03 Was one of the first games I modded and gave me interest in modding. It has been wild with not just improvements on this mod but all other FO3 mods on Nexus. Not to mention I have this on a mental list of mods I WONT play this game without.

Early 2023 review: First of all, how to fix occasional CtD problem? Solution from WestSmykuu in this comment section worked and you should try it too.
As for this Underground Hideout - this is an instant classic from golden era of Fallout 3 modding.
Stylish, but at the same time cozy. Convenient with features like auto-sorting and water purifier but not OP like other creator's player homes.
I use this mod for my third playthrough of Fallout 3 after almost 13 years and it feels like home. Nostalgic, but at the same time useful and in a very practical spot in Springvale.
Should you try this mod in 2023? Absolutely, at least to see for yourself what was this mod for modding community back in the day and how it inspired other creators to produce they own versions of various sorts of hideouts, vaults and bunkers for player character.

Thank you for the high praise, means a lot.  This mod is very nostalgic for me and can't believe it's been 15 years or so.  Feels like another lifetime.

      Appreciated and Kudos.

It's the same for me. You can't even imagine how many people in my modding circle was inspired by your project in past times.
      Thank you again!

As a teenager, when I didn't have the Internet yet, I bought journals that came with CDs that had mods for FO3. This home mod was for me the best home modifications of all time in FO3.
This mini hideout will forever be in my heart <3
This is one of the best modification ever.

Thank you, means a lot.  I made this so long ago and it was my first foray into modding...to hear comments like this years later is quite gratifying.

      Kudos.

I Know you said you wont update your mod anymore.

I just found out the reason for Save Crashes with your Mod.

The reason is the extra Marker on the Map.
I tested and debugged alot of stuff, but i couldnt find out until i just cleared all the mods and find out mini Hideout was the problem.
Then i unloaded it, saved and cleared the mod status with it. i loaded the mod again without discovering your hideout and saved. no problem (i saved at the metro station right before the GNR where it always crashed with mini hidehout applied) then it worked. Then i jumped to springvale just discovering your hideout. Got back to the metro and saved. Result : Crash.
The extra marker on the map, setting it as a location is likely the Problem, because i guess in the Database itself its not a registered location in the ingame Code, therefore it conflicts, or somewhere in your sourcecode there is an Path error, or Typo. if you could just "Delete" the Location mark, maybe that would help ?
i also discovered a door nearby in a broken house where the key is.
What has that to do with the mod ?

I would like to help out if you want to fix this and test it.
Thank you anyway for the Mod. sadly i cannot use it without saving problems.
Im sure it was a Hard Work, and everyone clearly can see the hard effort !
    Best regards.
