    Just a PSA: I updated the mod to remove the armor cap and you no longer take damage while wearing the new armor.

    You do know that no matter what the DR will always cap at 80 right(unless code mods are used)?

      Yeah, but I decided that it would be at least somewhat worthwhile to at least try and I had little reason not to put it up here. It should also have other effects on it that make it better that other power armors. I should look into code modification for armor limit... Do you by any chance know where I can find out how?

      In the GECK, go to the Gameplay dropdown menu at the top and go to Settings. The entry is fMaxArmorRating which is set at 85, change to whatever you want

      I do have to say though, setting DR to 600 is pointless because DR is a percent out of 100 that damage is removed. You can't remove 600% of damage, only an amount between 0 and 100.

      I was always confused between DR and DT and how they worked. I will probably update the mod and remove or severely raise the DR cap.

    I have always felt the power armors were pathetic at best. Very poor protection, and by design they make the wearer a setting duck for snipers. The vision out of that helm would be a blinder that would make spotting the sniper in time near impossible. Take a direct nuclear hit? Pfft. can't even enter vault 86 200 years later.

      you will need at least 30mm shell to penetrate that thick steel - titanium alloy. Snipers are no issue, even if they use the .50BMG anti - mat rifle. The vision in the helmet is not really an issue, as being able to take this amount of punishment will hardly be in any use rather than assault. If you played OA add on, you will know that they ordered the t51b's for the final assault on the chinese base, in the meanwhile regular infantry was tasked with clearing out the way for the final assault. Power armor, as any tank really, is only good for shock assaults againts infantry positions, rather than that is kinda useless in urban warfare.

      The reason you take dmg is the way developers solve the balance issue, as it would make the game too easy and generic, past power armor.

      Or the developers could make power armor not part of the main quest. Once I saw that, I knew it must be a waste.

      My sniper easily kills enclave power armor wearers. Power armor is not an issue for snipers in the game. The armor in game is a sad sad joke.
      I personally believe game balance is nothing more than opinion, and every one has one. One problem snipers have is there is no real sniper rifle in the game, a 308 sniper rifle? pffft..give me a 7mm mag and good scope, make you power armor thick as you like.
