There are hostile tank in raven rock/and in fort banister. This mod is great now im not alone exploring capital westland,and im has download mod from other author that chimera tank is drivable by player.
oh i didnt know you was the same guy so no chimera tanks oh and i could test out that tank mod if you'd like you said something about fps lost i could test that plus i just need more (stronger) things to fight in new vegas thanks anyway
Usually (at least the Rivet City ones) do fight those super mutants for me. Truth be told, I don't really use this mod anymore. It was originally a piece of a bigger mod that I am still working on that I've since replaced with better armor:

So far, I'm up to (IIRC) 9 armored vehicles for it, all the main scripting is done, there will be random scripted encounters, and I'm still planning a Fallout 3 version after I finish the New Vegas version. At the moment, I'm planning on not using the chimeras, but if I do change my mind, there will be a lot more variety to them.

Nah, they just blow up most of the time. The only times they seem to not is ironically when I hit them with an airstrike from EC or HTS, but only sometimes. Still it might be cool if they were salvageable, but no promises on that just yet.
Thank you. I appreciate the sentiment, but must respectfully disagree. At this point, I'm ready to admit that this mod was pure impatience on my part. I was a little over eager to show off all the tank retextures I'd made.
I've got something much better in the works that, so far, this'll work along side of. I don't want to get into details on it yet, but I will say that it will incorporate many of the changes and additions suggested in the comments of this and the TTW version, and a lot more.
You mean the comments about my new project? It's still being made. It's what I originally had in mind for the tank retextures. I'll estimate a few more weeks to a month, at least till it's ready. Plenty of time to stock up on ammo and stimpacks... Judging from my testing so far, you're going to need it.
Awesome mod! Is there a list for all the tank locations? also, can you add a tank to the washington monument base? Marts turns the place into a warzone for me and a tank could really help the puny humans! Also, do they respawn?
@ Dale Gribble. I'm onto you... But more seriously, Thank you. I could probably tell you where they all are, but one was meant to be a surprise sort of. Try looking at major bases for different factions.
As for one at the Washington monument, I'm not saying never, but I hesitate to put any there. Between the trenches and the fact that it's only accessible through the subway, I don't think a tank could realistically be brought into that area.
One could argue that I've already contradicted that with where I put the Reilly's Rangers tanks, but that was only because I made the textures before I really thought about where to put them and that was one of my two favorites so I really didn't want to leave it out. I'll think about it.
Oh, and I don't think I have any set to respawn in either current version.
sh sh shaw! Anyway, thank you for the reply. As for the the monument tank, that's understandable. Will you be making them respawnable? as mentioned before, I am running marts and sometimes the tanks still get destroyed. Also, I just noticed that you can talk to the rivet city tanks, they are silent but you have the generic rivet city guard dialogue with them without the goodbye option you have to use the closeallmenus command. Also, any chance to add any at project purity after starting broken steel?
I wasn't sure whether or not they should respawn, but I'll probably make most of the ones I've placed so far do so. Thanks for pointing out the bug, I didn't realize they did that. I never intended for them to talk at all. I'll get a fixed version uploaded as soon as possible.
They can't talk at all now. Most were already set to respawn, and now a few more do. The only ones that don't are ones that I don't really want to respawn. Thanks again for pointing out that bug
I like the idea of this tank wandering across the Wasteland like the normal robots. It would be a kind of new enemy(more XP to win), besides the texture work is very good. But this tanks are designed to move on frozen terrain and on the snow, not in roads or normal ground. It is just an observation and my personal opinion.
Dont worry about the screw propulsion; it was just an engineering observation, but they are fine. And set a texture for every faction is a great idea. BTW, my favourite is the Outcast Tank. I will give this mod a glance.
I've been trying to avoid replacing anything directly to avoid conflicts. There's also the fact that due to their size, they're harder to place than most other actors. Don't worry though, there will be a lot more of them later on, and thanks to your suggestion, I'll make sure to include them at Enclave camps.

For example the Rivet City Tanks don't attack nearby supermutants(and vice versa)
same goes for The Reilly's Ranger tank at Seward Square, again not attacking the centaurs/ super mutants(and vice versa)
