Bought ! A much better immersion with this mod, especially with other mods that add high irradiated areas in game like A quest for heaven 1, 2 and 3. thanks a lot
So I've never played AQFH before. Yow. Native 70% rad resistance plus the mod supplied heavy duty radiation armor plus Rad-X and I'm still worried about running out of Rad-Away (I'm also running with a mod that gives meds weight so you can't be carrying thousands of them).
In my case, the values are differents as I overhauled my game and systematically modified every mod I've installed. For example, "life scale" in vanilla game is too small for my taste. You can too easilly kill everything or everyone when enough skilled, and can't when you're not skilled, so I increased every values, including also weapon damage. In my game it's impossible to kill a deathclaw with a 10 mm pistol clip, (I know it's not a real good example) even in SVAT in the head, but with other mightier weapons using .50 cal, 20 mm, 30 mm cal it's possible even sometimes OS kill, when the ammo is explosive.. But even with low skill it should be easier to kill a human with a 10 mm shot in the head. It's the same for rads, my own scale + your mod is bigger and I need to have a certain level and some high tech equipment to survive. All these modifications give more sense and value to skills and equipment
It should triple ambient radiation and more that if you're wading or swimming. I picked up about 200 rads with a low level character swimming across the Potomac by where the Super Mutants and Raiders shoot at each other. A higher level character with a dose of Rad-X couldn't get near Vault 87 without dying. And it makes the radioactive rain and snow from the Enhanced Weather mod more than just an annoyance.
Pardon me, but what would that mod which changes the radiation screen of the pipboy to simply state whether or not you have radiation poisoning rather than an exact measurement be?
Well, since I'm not playing Fallout 4 until the CK is released and people can start fixing things, and I've got New Vegas installed already maybe I'll try to find the time to see about doing something like it there.

There doesn't seem to be a version for New Vegas, though, which is a bit disappointing.
If you get it working, I can assure you that mod would have a permanent place in my load order.
