- Completely reworked the code for better performance, fixing a lot of bad sectors within the code, and possible bugs that may have occurred
- Added the option to disable the automatic fallout 3 process killing, since I've seen that Fallout 3 goes unresponsive while the game loads exteriors, interiors, or any save profile.
This mod is great, but I have a very big problem with it. I don't know how to edit exe file and every time when I press CTRL (only CTRL not CTRL + shift) my game close and I'm used to using CRTL for crouching. Could you please make a new version without it or make a version with would have an option to choose which keys I want to use for closing FO3?
It appears to be working on 8.1, and a friend was able to pin it to her taskbar on windows 10. Not sure why its not able to attach to explorer, what OS are you running?
I'm using Windows 8.1 Professional, and for the sake of testing I attempted to pin It in VMWare using Professional and Enterprise; they both seem to work, so I'm not quite sure why you're not able to do so.
Here are a few reasons that could be why It won't let you:
1) Your antivirus keeps deleting the shortcut, since It's flagged as malicious, according to the antivirus
2) You modified your registry, so some apps aren't able to pin to your start menu, although If It's just this app then this shouldn't be the cause.
I'm not exactly tech support, but I'll try and help as best as I can. Quite honestly, I'm not sure why It won't pin.
You can also try restarting explorer, then attempting to pin the program again.
Edit: Working on Windows 8 RC, Standard, and Professional, but I don't have a copy of Enterprise so I'm not sure If it'll work or not on that version.
I'm using a program called "Classic Shell" so that gives me the option to pin it to the start menu and that worked but it's showing up as a file called "FNVAC" with a Pipboy head as the icon for it. As for the task bar I get a reading that the file is in the task bar but it's not showing up in the task bar. When I try placing it in the task bar again I get a reading to unpin it from the task bar.
I'm actually using Classic Shell, and It allowed me to Pin It to the Start Menu under the name "FO3CC.exe - Shortcut" so I assume that It's working, but I'm still not quite sure why It won't work for you In particular.
As for It being Called FNVAC, the program used to only be for New Vegas, so I made a branch project to make one for Fallout 3, and for the Task Bar, It still allows me to pin It.
What you could try Is: 1) Make your own shortcut for FO3CC 2) Try pinning that shortcut to the task bar, and If It's still not working then It's the program Itself that can't be pinned.
Windowed Fullscreen, the game will still go unresponsive while loading a game, so I wouldn't set the amount of seconds too low or It'll exit the game before the save file loads or the exterior / interior loads.
You're always more than welcome to disable the timer, CTRL + SHIFT kills Fallout3.exe just incase you get locked out.
