    It does seem to make headshots more effective BUT it also makes enemies feel like bulletsponges if you hit anywhere other than the head.

      As it's intended to add a little bit of challenge, but could probably stand to have a buff enhancement. Shooting an ant in the leg shouldn't kill it...at least immediately!

    Does the head hit chance in vats also affect the hit chance of enemies by any chance? The problem I always have with these mods is that headshots are deadly for enemies too, but they seem to be able to always hit the head in one shot. One peek around the corner and you're dead.

      It's been a while, but I recall having that problem as well, and don't think I bumped up the damage for the player, only NPC's. Like I said, though, my memory is hazy.

      Good job! I love how you broke out the different options into different esps. The only issue I have is that FWE - More Gore esp adds additional information to these same places. I used FO3 Edit to copy your headshot settings onto the FWE-More Gore esp to combine them.

      Thanks for the props! Indeed, FWE is a "must have" mod! I think my mod days are done, but it makes me happy that so many people enjoyed this simple mod!

      My game is modded but the same thing happened to me. Seems like a cool mod though.

      All this mod does is change some numbers so it shouldn't affect your game in that way.

    do i need to enable both vanilla and all dlc espi have all dlc but didnt understand whether both are needed, i wanted to know before

      Yes, I'll adjust that in the installation instructions to make it more clear! In my setup, I merged all the mods, which is something I recommend everyone learn and do for heavily modified games!

      Yes I have a lot of mods everything is working perfect. Still the best headshot mod in my opinion. In VATS when target is moving or it is far away it is very difficult to hit them in head. Better to choose targets that are standing still. It is very realistic because I try not to use VATS and when they are moving in front of me it is difficult to hit them with single shot straight in head. It is the best mod for FWE if you like sneaking. Sniping is fun and difficult now because it is difficult to hit them in head in VATS you need to do it yourself.

    @Darkamo, I'm looking into the whole helmet deal...talk about can of worms! Not impossible, but not easy, but I'm going to work at it. At least it helps me learn a little more about modding FO3 and keeping it "fresh."

    @Mariyan, well, I'll have to check that out. I generally have no trouble sniping raiders in the head and extinguishing them with one shot. Pistol headshots in real life are a LOT more difficult than the vanilla game and most other video games make it appear, though, so I thought it was fairly realistic. I can increase the damage multiplier for NPC's (people only), which actually shouldn't affect rifle shots since you can one shot/one kill them with those anyway, but would make 1S1K hits with pistols easier. However, in reality, 2m-3m distant into the head with a silenced pistol isn't necessarily an automatic "kill," since the cranium does have a way deflecting bullets like a WWII Soviet tank. That's just info garnered from some ballistics studies I've been a part of as an engineer. Since we don't really have fully implemented ammo types in FO3 (+P, AP, WC, FMJ, etc.), we might be stuck with vanilla behaviour, though I'd love to do a mod encompassing powder loads and slug types, but I think that's way overkill. I guess we can always chalk it up to you didn't get a full-frontal/perpendicular head shot, but instead a tangential one, or post-apocalyptic powder deterioration (radioactivity does tend to have weird effects on objects, like turning glass black and silicone grease to snot), or less-than-ideal bullet physics due to poor manufacturing!

    Right now, though, have been toying with increasing non-VATS scope accuracy, like some others, but a little more basic than some of the older (and apparently abandoned) mods out there, which IMHO go too far or not far enough, I want a happy medium. Love that old saying, though, K.I.S.S.

      Yes I love medium style play I try out realisticbodyparts dmg mod and it is overpowered for me that i can easy achieve haedshots from far far away. Rifles/Gun/Sniper have 50% in VATS on same distance. Maybe for me it is more difficult with your mod because I use FWE and lowers dmg with silencer on them most of the time I need 3 shots to kill them.

      But If I don't use silencer they will notice me very fast. Maybe optional file for FWE will be useful

      Do you know if I can use it with RWD - Realistic Weapons Damages Mod it will give me lower % in VATS and still kill them if I hit them in head?

      It should work fine with RWD, as my changes modify the damage multiplier and VATS body part hit percentages for the head only and do not change weapon damages. Now, I don't use RWD myself, I use FWE and sandboxing up to this point has worked out fairly well for me, so I can't answer if it will enhance realism or not with RWD. I'll check out that mod, though.

      Have you tried the Auto9 mod? -- three rapid pistol shots in burst, may help you out.

    oh god if you can do that it will be so awesome ( im getting sometimes one shooted by Mr.gustys probably headshot and im always wearing a helmet sometimes im like meeeh :c so if you find a way pls add for the PC and the normal version) like some ennemys will have to take severals shots in the face while wearing an helmet ( like i don't want to kill an enclave soldier just by one headshot ) !

      You can disable the headshotPC.esp, that should cut down on headshot kills to you! I found that I got headshot'ed a LOT by enemies very distant (unrealistically so) and dropped like a 2L soda bottle with that mod active. In my next version update, I may tone down the damage multiplier for PCs a little bit, but still quite a bit higher than vanilla, however still enough to enhance the firefight fear factor.

      well i think it depends on ennemys mate , like for exemple i have to shoot ( with the hunter rifle) 3 times in a normal super mutant's head , i like that cause it's not too overpowered like : they are tougher that normal human , if your target was human maybe it was because he was wearing an helmet ( if he wears one) ?
      By the way like you i was lokking for a mod like this but not too overpowered im so exited to try the new version tonight.

      I know what you mean but still I will like to kill raiders with one shot with a gun from 2-3m of them. I think it is more realistic and when I use weapons without silencer other enemy can hear me but FWE lower weapons dmg with silencer and it is very difficult. If there was way to change dmg/VATS % for different types of weapons.

      Still it is your mod I just share my ideas.
