Is there a way to wake them back up? I tried it on some friendly NPCs and they have just been laying there frozen and blinking for days, and it's getting weird.
There's a SandMan Mod/Edit http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/20541/? that lets you use your Perk ability on any unaware foe... stun/paralyze is listed. Though it removes the Sandman Animation (which is why I dont kare for it) but some may find it a good mix with this mod.. I've yet to test the two

I added the items to a general npc vendor list, so I'm sure some other general store has it, and I've found it before on a different vendor. I just don't know which specific vendors this list affects at the moment.

you happen to have the base id for it so i can spawn ammo been awhile and still found just regular darts maby you could make it so you can turn regular darts into sdarts with crafting kit
I'm pretty interested in this idea, but the one minute sleep time is a little too overpowered for my tastes. The delayed onset suggested in a previous post would improve the concept in my opinion. If possible, it would also be nice if the sleep duration was scaled to decrease in proportion to the victim's Endurance stat. Someone or something with 10 Endurance might actually be immune, or fall unconscious for 1 second, so they simply fall over after the poison takes effect, and then stand right back up.
Specialized ammunition, especially if it's rare or expensive, would also be an excellent addition.
Yea I'm going to have to figure out the GECK scripting to do that, shouldn't be too much of a hassle, only problem is is I am currently without internet at my house.
Also I will do a custom ammo type and it will be more expensive. Thanks for all the feedback!
Alright well I guess I'll start figuring out the scripting, and get that on the way for version 2 which I plan on adding custom ammo too. So hopefully I get some internet here soon and able to release a new version!
Huzzah! I'm going to go ahead and endorse this. This niche has needed filling for a long time. The last thing that would make it perfect is if the gun didn't look identical to the vanilla dart gun (am I mistaken there?), but that requires other programs and a lot of time from what I hear. The promised features for version 2 sound well worth an endorsement!
I have no idea how CALIBER works, but its supposed to be good for merging various mod-added ammo types, and several major mods incorporate it. Might be worth looking into for your specialized ammo. Or maybe not.
Also I'm planning on making and or finding my own custom model for this, because you're correct in that it uses the default dart gun skin. I hope to change it soon.
Also v2 is chugging along slowly but surely, and I have a good idea how the script will work for the effect!
I guess I had it wrong, it's called CALIBR. No E. And from the sounds of it in the description, it might not be helpful for you. It adds a bunch of real life ammunition types, so any mod that utilizes it will have those to draw from, but the custom ammo for the sleepy gun you have in mind isn't already provided by CALIBR, if I'm understanding correctly. That said, the only issue that might arise from that is if someone else made a tranquilizer mod, and someone tried to use yours and theirs at the same time. There would be two distinct tranquilizer ammo types. I'm not so sure that's a problem though.

I've been busy with work and just got 4 stitches on one of my fingers, so using a computer is difficult atm.
Of all my playthroughs of this game I have never seen any NPCs riding donkeys. Is that a mod I'm not aware of?

I'm changing the model in v2.5 when I finish it. It won't be custom yet.
Maybe eventually I'll have it so they ragdoll, but not right now.
The delay before they fall asleep depends on their endurance and your luck!
The formula is endurance divided by 2, multiplied by 5, divided by your luck.
