   I hate to mention it, but the game already lets you download the metro map to the pip-boy from several metro terminals.

      that's a very small version of the map... also doesnt show which lines are down.
      
      what bugs me more is if this requires the readius.

      Don't worry, it doesn't require the Readius. It's just that it's mentioned in-game, so I felt like I had to credit it, since I always use the Readius.

      I don't know if you guys have noticed, but there's actually a full-sized map in the texture files which is used for some of the lightboards in the metro stations, it's in architecture\urban\, and it's called something like metrolightboard or something like that

      why not just make a map you could pull out and look at using the same type of animations that the readius uses. Thing is the maps are scrollable in the pipboy so you could just make it that way to. And the readius is a great mod loved using it in my past playthroughs. using the map boards map if you could find a clean enough one to use.
