POSTED 2/25/2020 There have been many posts saying players are having an issue with their Pip-Boy disappearing after leaving Tranquility Lane. Again, I did not experience this issue in my personal Fallout 3 game, so the issue is due to a conflict with another mod.
In addition, I am currently playing a TTW (Tale of Two Wastelands) game, and because this is a Fallout 3 mod, this mod doesn't work for TTW. However, I have experienced the same problem, just now. After exiting Tranquility Lane, my Pip-Boy is no longer accessible. This confirms that the glitch has nothing to do with this mod, which is only responsible for getting your character in and out of Tranquility Lane, and DOES NOT affect your inventory or items. You can use this mod as a work-around if you are experiencing the Pod Lounger glitch, but the Pip-Boy issue is something that has to be solved by other means, as this mod is not the cause. I never used or downloaded this mod and yet i sill have the 'no pipboy after tranquility lane' bug. So when people say they experience that bug, it may have nothing to do with this mod. I only got here because i googled for a solution and this popped up. Turned out it wasn't a solution tho :(
Right. This mod is NOT a solution to the missing Pip Boy bug! This is a Fallout 3 mod, and the missing Pip Boy bug still happens in a TTW game, which runs in New Vegas. So this mod does nothing for that. This mod only fixes the bug that causes players to get stuck in the Vault 112 Pod, and has nothing to do with the Pip Boy, or the bug that happens after you exit Tranquility Lane. In my own game, the bug didn't happen. My character exits the pod with their Pip-Boy still equipped, so if your game is experiencing this bug, you will have to find another solution. Good luck!
With this mod I managed to get to Tranquility Lane but I can't talk to anyone and my character is not a child but an adult in addition I still have a pipboy, not a watch with a vault boy lol
Yeah, if you noticed the screenshots for this mod, that's the way its supposed to be, so your character can attack Betty to trigger the exit door to appear. This mod warps your character into Tranquility Lane unchanged from their true self.
Its your mods, if u get stuck in the pod after complete the quest, before that, just desative all your mods, then get out tranquility, get out the pod, then save again then active your mods again, gg.
Hey guys i was having an issue at first where my pipboy was disappearing all together i was using the pipboy custom 3002 mod. when i would exit the tranquility lounger it was gone altogether so i used this mod the tl script fix and i got it back but there was another issue that was happening the pipboy would show up but then goes over my head and because of this the game was broken i tried many of the fixes that people have said to try in this comment section alas no dice so i instead tried this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/12144?tab=files its the pipboy readius another pipboy mod i thought if it was a issue with the pipboy model or arm itself i figured this would fix it because it used a custom model and its not on the arm and guess what it did. It completely fixed the so called bug now i have no idea what the issue was because i have over 100 mods in my load order but this fixed it for me no messing with quest files or trying to skip it because you cant skip tranquility lane i tried you cant continue the story with out talking to dad so hopefully if anyone is still playing in 2020 and is having this issue JUST FIX IT WITH ANOTHER PIPBOY MOD LOL.

This mod will prevent the missing pip boy after tranquility lane bug (for me anyway). You have to have it installed before you sit in the chair and go into the simulation though. You will have to use the console to remove the jumpsuit after you finish though as it is a quest item.
I'm using custom race and play as ghoul. Really annoying and I cannot get the pip boy back. IS there ANY way or console command to overwrite? I only have a quick save in tranquility lane and auto save when exiting. Sigh
For those with pipboy problems: I'm doing a similar edit in TTW and found where the pip boy is re-added. The script you need to check for problems when experiencing errors is MQ04PlayerContainerScript
The line you might be missing (found among the TTW fixes that account for the Pimp Boy 3000 from NV) is: if ( [a 'do once' variable] == 1 ) ResetPipboyManager ;reset manager frame after we get the pipboy back set [a 'do once' variable] to 2 endif
That said, its likely another mod that alters this script, so check you load order
How do we check that script? Where can we find it? I'm noob at modding. Also, disabling all mods doesn't fix the problem.
edit: noticed pip boy works with this mod inside of tranquility lane, and short time (few seconds) after leaving it. But then after some time, when I activate it, it just goes above characters head.
EDIT 2: After reloading the game without any load order/mod changes for few minutes, it got fixed. The only thing I did differently is I remained in that Pod while talking to Dad. Previously I always exited the pod before talking to him and Pip boy was bugged. Hope this experience helps someone :)

you should type these commands in the console and it comes right back
enableplayercontrols
player.equipitem 15038 1
resetpipboymanager
