Use WinRar or 7-Zip to extract the contents of this Archive directly into your Bethesda Softworks/Fallout 3/Data/ Folder.

Select the esp you wish to use:

Wearable Wristwatches - Pipboy.esp - For those who wear the traditional arm-mounted Pip Boy 3000.
Wearable Wristwatches - No Pipboy.esp - For those who use the Pip Boy Readius or any other Pip Boy that isn't mounted to the Player's arm.

Then activate the esp in your Fallout 3 launcher menu or in FOMM (Fallout Mod Manager) by clicking the box next to it.

Please remember to use some form of Archive Invalidation.

3. Description
--------------

This simple mod adds wearable wristwatches to Fallout 3. This mod was created due to the dissappointment I recieved upon completing the Tranquility Lane quest, and discovering I was unable to claim the Vault Boy Watch (the one which replaces your Pipboy 3000 during the simulation) afterwards. Using Blender I separated the Vault Boy watch from the outfit it came with and made it into a separate, wearable accessory. Then I created four retextured versions; There are cheap, classy, and Nuka Cola watches in addition to the original Vault Boy watch. Each watch also has it's own Pipboy menu icon and ground-model. They use the "BodyAddOn3" Biped Object slot.

This is mainly intended as a modder's resource, however I've included two esp files for those who just want to check out the watches without having to add them into the G.E.C.K. yourself. There are two main versions of the esp, depending on whether or not you use the traditional arm-mounted Pipboy or a hand-held variation such as the Pipboy readius. The standard version, "Wearable Wristwatches - Pipboy.esp" assumes you use the standard arm-mounted Pipboy and places the wristwatch between the Pipboy glove and the Pipboy 3000 so the face of the watch can clearly be seen. The "Wearable Wristwatches - No Pipboy.esp" places the watches higher up on the wrist, where the standard Pipboy 3000 would normally clip and cover more than half of the watch's face.

Several watches have been hand placed in appropriate locations throughout the Capital Wasteland:

There's a Vault Boy watch placed in each one of the Vaults: 87, 92, 101, 106, 108, and 112. One of these is the Limited Edition Vault Boy Watch that gives +1 to Agility

There's a Nuka-Cola watch at the Nuka Cola Plant and one inside Sierra Petrovita's house in Girdershade.

Cheap and Classy Watches and the broken versions of each are sold by Moira Brown in Megaton, Bannon in Rivet City and Anthony Ling in Tenpenny Tower.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE EXACT LOCATION OF EACH WATCH WILL BE LISTED AT THE VERY BOTTOM OF THIS READ ME FILE.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Broken Cheap Watches and Broken Classy Watches can be used to repair any of the other watches, however you can only use another broken watch to repair them. This is because if you combined working watch parts with non-working watch parts, you would have sufficient parts to make a working watch, hence it should no longer be called a broken watch. Therefore, you can repair broken watches with each other but you still end up with a broken watch.

The Vault Boy watches and Nuka Cola watches can be repaired by Broken Watches, Cheap and Classy Watches, or a watch of the same kind, but not with each other. You can't use a Nuka Cola Watch to repair a Vault Boy Watch or vice-versa. However, this just happens to be how I set them up. Feel free to edit the stats and properties to suit your needs.

4. Known Bugs & Design Flaws
-----------------------------

The watches clip with any outfit that has a sleeve on the left arm. Only sleeveless outfits (Such as Combat Armor and Leather Armor) work well with the watches.

The watches are not animated; The hands do not move or keep time. This is currently beyond my abilities as a modder. If someone out there wants to make these watches animated, be my guest. . .

When viewing the ground models, at certain angles, the watch's face will occasionally vanish. I believe it has something to do with the alpha property on the crystal of the watch. I have no idea how to fix it at this time.

The watches are only visable in the 3rd-person view and do not show on your arm while using the Pipboy. The only way to make the watch show when you're using the Pipboy is to have it attached to the mesh of the outfit you're wearing. Then the watch will appear on your wrist whenever you look at your Pipboy menu. Using Blender, you can attach the Watch meshes to various outfits, so long as the outfit does not have sleeves or anything on the arms that would clip through.
