Amusingly this is now the only way to get Blackwolf Backpacks as the author of the original appears to have taken part in the Nexodus and his Wordpress website is in Engrish and doesn't appear to include working download links to any mods.
Using this mod as "ported" for TTW, and I love it. Much better than the backpack mod I was using strictly for FNV (it shall remain nameless - as it kinda deserves).
A BIG thumbs up!!! ENDORSED! Edit - As I didn't download it here, I can't endorse. Still great though.
Find someone who can do it, a use theirs's! lol My level of modding expertise stops at anything more demanding than a manual installation of something like the 4GB Patcher (or TTW install, but that has absolutely idiot-proof instructions!). That said, the is something called "the method" that is discussed on the TTW website. I have never tried it myself, but it is explained by one of the TTW developers ('pintocat' or 'risewild' I believe). I did a very quick search of the TTW site, but didn't find it. That said, I seem to stumble across it almost every time I'm on there, so it isn't exactly hidden or hard to find - it just seems to be quite reluctant to show itself this morning... There is also this (think it is "also"... might be the same) https://taleoftwowastelands.com/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=6525 that is explained by RoyBatty (another TTW - maybe the main - developer), and if you can follow his instructions, he is the BEST at untangling FO3/FNV/TTW programming and what makes it tick! Hope this helps you some, but I really? can't help you much more than that, as reading just a paragraph or two of Roy's explanation makes my brain hurt (and makes me feel really dumb!)…
This is unlikely to be answered but I found a major bug within the mod and I don't know what the issue is Put simply when I put the backpacks on it reduced damage of what seemed like 30%, I tried editing the mod through the GECK to text what was causing the issue but I can't figure it out yet. I would love to use the backpack but this just makes it unusable for me Edit: Ok I it appears to only be an issue with regards to the Technicians backpack which is the one I preferred Will probably switch to the medic trekker or something else but it's very strange Edit 2: No more issues with not Technicians pack and very happy with the medic since it goes extremely well with Winterized Power Armor
Is there a way to remove the straps on the larger backpacks? The straps tend to cause a lot of clipping on some of my modded outfits, that already have a lot of straps on the outfits, so is kind of redundant to have some. Love the backpacks, just want to know if I can manually remove the straps myself.
EDIT: So I made a new folder and moved the nif's for the straps into there so that the esp can't find them, and that works. No more straps. So anyone that has clipping issues with the straps, either delete the nif files, or move them to another folder. Latter preferred since it's easier to restore them as needed
Wow, it's been a long time, hasn't it? It should come as no surprise that I am not maintaining this mod any longer. I hope you've enjoyed it, and I hope that the mentioned NavMesh bug I may have introduced at the time isn't much of an issue.
One day, some day, I'd like to revisit this using all I've learned over the past couple of years, but right now Skyrim is where my attention lies. I mentioned adding a quest line; this was primarily just an avenue for me to learn how Fallout 3's quest system works. I don't think that's necessary any more and falls outside this mod's intended purpose. I would, however, like to one day extend backpacks out into the wasteland via leveled lists. When I come back to the game (and that will happen at some point), I'd like to do that.
I was playing through Mothership Zeta on a TTW run and everything was going fine, then at one point I went to 3rd person and it looks like the backpack is backwards and inside of me. No clue what caused it. As I routinely go to third person and the backpack looked fine. Suddenly, I pop out and now the back pack is fucked up.
Well, this might be a bit late ... opening the esp in GECK throws a stack of uncompiled script errors, and a few dialogue warnings .. (came across this completely by accident while this mod was being loaded into GECK as a dependency for a custom mod I've made myself to alter the look of the wife)
(edit) looking closer .. apparently the uncompiled scripts are due to the 'unimplemented' quest mentioned in the description .. all the content for it appears to exist in the esp, but there are several broken references and things ... hmm .. well, at least the rest of the backpack stuff works

Not using the "Wanderer's Edition" so still needed this
It worked and I got my backpack.
Thank you.
