Mod Author Raptre gave me full permission to "Update it all you want" so I made the install super easy, and added broken steel quest progress fixes for V 1.2.
UPDATE: Many of the reported 3dog news report bugs were fixed by the updated unofficial fallout 3 patch. I am working on copying these over for those who don't run it. PLEASE HELP IMPROVE 3 DOG NEWS REPORTS!
As you play through the game with this mod, please pay attention to the news reports to see if anything is reported that shouldn't be. I am totally dependent on these bug reports as testing all possibilities is impossible for me.
I already have a few reports to work on and need more!
ISSUES IN PROGRESS 4/28/14 * ad track 2 (metro protectron) and music track 85 (gone fishin') never plays, hope it wasn't intentional. * add in missing dialogue for brotherhood/outcasts (unofficial patch fix) RadioGNRNewSStoryGeneric05, and the unofficial patch stops it from talking about tower ghouls. *3dog talking as if project impurity completed from start. (require separate patch file for broken steel, Unofficial patch also fixes it) * some nuka cola challenge quest fix
For anyone having issues where the last few seconds of the songs loop, this is because the Mp3's were converted at a higher bit rate than what is recommended. Converting them down to 128 kps fixed it for me.
Tried installing this on my Steam Deck however I now just get silence whenever the songs go to play and the games frame rate gets cut in half. Has anyone else had this? Does this mod work on Steam Deck or am I just unlucky?
Each track in this mod has three files, an .mp3, a _mono.mp3, and a _mono.wav, but if you look at the mod's .esp in FO3Edit only the .mp3 file is being referenced.
What is going on with these other two files, are they even necessary? The mod is over a gig and there are 330 tracks in the sound\Songs\Radio\GNR directory but it appears that only a third of these files are actually needed.
Not only is this the best mod for Fallout 3 I've ever seen, I listen to it *constantly* because I imported it into iTunes. :) You are so wonderful for doing this.
I would like to add this separate to my previous comment.
this is possibly the BEST compilation album for a Fallout game I have ever heard, I have only just started playing on PC and already the game has a new life it never had on PS3, and part of that if not most of it is down to this mod alone. whoever put this comp together has a knowledge of music class and aesthetics. Since listening to this mods music, I have already learned 2 of the tracks (which as a music buff, I was surprised I had never heard before) on guitar and plan on recording covers of them for a laugh.
I have written an opening sequence to a Fallout short film I have planned on making for some time, and this mod has done nothing but help and inspire with it's musical choices.
kudos vieles to you mod creator, you have succeeded in every way you could with this mod, and I thank you from the bottom of my jet filled heart.....
Is there any way to make the radio volume reduce slightly during dialogue instead of going off completely, I wouldn't mind if it paused the radio with the rest of the game during dialogue but I find when I come out of dialogue a completely different song is playing and it kind of breaks the flow as the music is 50% of the atmosphere for me.

Anyone know what the purpose of this is?
Badass mod. Obviously endorsed.
