Bobble head Collectors Book Read Me for version 3.0

What Does this mod do?

This adds a bobble head collectors book acquired by Moira Brown to Crater Side Supply. It contains the locations of all 20 bobble heads. Obtain it however you wish.
If you blow up megaton prior to installing this mod then it can be found in Abraham Washington's bed room next to his computer. You'll have to steal it from Abraham as he has no interest in getting rid of it.

Once obtained to select a bobble head you wish to find simply equip (click on the book in your inventory) and then select it from the menu choices once you put away your pip boy. Equipping it lets the game know that you want to read it. The menu is broken down into 3 sections covering the bobble heads, if the one you want to seek out is not on your current list simply click next to see the next listing. Select the bobble head you want. You will then get a pop up message giving you detailed instructions on how to find the bobble head of choice. This represents reading from a page in the book. If you have a high enough intelligence level you will also receive a photograph of the bobble head at it's location. This represents the player being smart enough to upload a picture from the book to there pip boy. If a picture is not given at this time then once the player obtains the bobble head a picture will be issued then. Compass and map markers are added to assist the hunter in finding the bobble heads.

As bobble heads are selected from the menu a listing for that bobble head is added to your quest. Once found it will be marked as completed. To see all bobble heads on the listing you can simply select see all bobble heads (see below) and they will all be added to the list. Unfortunately collectors without enough wits will need to select each bobble head individually to see the complete list. It is a no brainer.

Anyone with a slightly elevated intelligence level will also be able to chose and see all the bobble head locations. This is good for seeing if a bobble head is close to you, although if you have many to find it can be distracting. Seeking a singe bobble head at a time is recommended.

Smarter players will be given the option of uploading all of the bobble head pictures all at once. They can also delete all pictures already uploaded. This option is given to all collectors once the �Bobblehead Quest� is completed.

There are 4 bobble heads that can be lost permanently. If a bobble head becomes unavailable a message will let you know, and it will be counted toward completing the quest.

The quest will not run if the book is not in your inventory, but will update if you add it to
your inventory. This makes it more realistic as the player wont be able to get directions to
a bobble head with out the book. The book will need to be in the collectors inventory after collecting the last bobble head available to up date and close the quest.

-----------------Updating from an earlier version? ----

Best method for this mod is to perform a clean save, and then add the mod.
To Clean Save:
1) Disable and delete/remove old version of this mod.
2) Start the game.
3) Select yes to continue without it.
4) Once in game make a new save.
5) Install new version. Overwrite if necessary.
6) Start the game and select your just saved game.
7) Enjoy the mod


----------------- Installation ---------------------

I am currently using Fallout Mod Manager (0.14.11.19).
It is still a great program and I recommend it to anyone wanting to MOD and install mods. It has benefits for mod authors. I do not have nexus mod manager installed but this should work fine with it. Other mod installers and organizers should work fine, but have not been tested by me so use them at your own discretion.

Standard Install: You all should know how it goes, if not look it up.

FOMM:
1.Download Mod
2.Select Package Manager on Fallout Mod Manager
3.Make sure top button on the package manager is Add FOMod then click it.
4.Find the downloaded copy of Bobblehead Collectors Book. (yes it is still zipped closed)
5.Choose yes or no to copy (from the pop up)
6.Select and activate it in the Package Manager
7.Close the Package Manager
8.Mod installed - launch the game to enjoy

Added a un noticeable quest that checks to see if megaton has been blown up when activating this mod.

The many possible outcomes of Trouble on the Home front have been tested and all out
comes work. Example: sabotage vault and markers will still appear if you haven?t picked
up the medicine bobble head, or get kicked out with out picking it up and you?ll get a
medicine bobble head lost message.
Worked on obtaining the book. Now it works well. There is a delay in the quest if you
steal it, as sometimes Moira gets her junk back.
Cost of book increased significantly. An extremely rare book should cost a lot and not
just be readily available upon leaving the vault. The player must decide steal it or save
up for it.
Value of book degenerates as the player progresses on his mission of finding all these
little treasures. It didnt seem right to have the player sale a used book that may no
longer lead to a found bobble heads for the same price they bought it for.
Fixed last map marker staying on after dropping or moving book from the players inventory.
More I didnt write down.
