Early 2023 review: "Iguanas" for Fallout 3 is another example of classic mod, that should be placed in separate "old, but gold" type of mods collection. And to better understand this project, don't expect full-blown questline and try to judge this mod on the basis of "lore-friendly new feature with some basic mechanics". And who can stand against little new pet in your adventures? Even after my initial playthrough with this mod, in 2023 "Iguanas", using in very heavy load-out of 378 plugins, is perfectly compatible with the large list of most popular mods and has only few minor bugs like Iguana pet not always responds to commands and some of the animations for new creatures look a bit clunky. Nice variation to finally replace dogmeat in player house with new little friend that makes place feels more alive somehow. Also this quest mod, indeed, provides immersive way of integrating live iguanas in the landscape of Capital Wasteland. Nothing groundbreaking (in both senses) based on modern modding standards, but this mod did what it supposed to do and don't break your game in any way. Should you try this mod in 2023? Absolutely, especially if you need little additions like this to improve immersive experience in Wasteland of Fallout 3. Endorsement from me. EDIT 19.05.23: I found that reducing spawn rate to 10% is the best optimal way to still have many encounters with enemies in the Wasteland, without breaking balance with new iguanas at these places.
Hi TrickyTrack! Firstly i just want to say i've seen your mod reviews here and there since i got back into f03 around october, and you have helped me out with ALOT of mods. which ones to take, which ones to not bother with, etc. SO, thanks for that big time.
I actually just started learning the G.E.C.K. via youtube today [after 15 years of playing f03 off and on i decided to try my hand at making a few custom, personal mods], and so im a big noob - i can only do very basic stuff like make custom weapons, or make half-working npc's.... how would one go about altering the iguana spawn rates down to 10%?

Since I'm gonna stop using MMM because it makes other mods spawn creature/NPCs like crazy, this is the only way now to get Iguanas into the game so... THANK YOU
Is there any chance of uploading the standalone sounds for the Iguana footsteps that are in v1.2? Then people can just download that to use in MMM to cure the super loud footsteps issue?
can someone please make a patch for wasteland whisperer? I belive this could be done by adding an iguana faction and sepret levvaled lists raver than the molerat ones.
The textures are messed up, how do I fix it? Also, it's a shame I can't pick up live iguanas and drop them where-ever I like, I remember once I had 10 or so iguanas set free in Megaton, just for an extra certain aestetic feel of it, y'know?
