Thanks for taking the time to look this stuff up for me, I really do appreciate it.
I have found some royalty free chinese music (classical chinese opera.) it's not as creepy as I wanted but it does work in the restaurant. Now I just need to figure out how to make it a little louder, when I have it set to simply an ambient sound it's way to quiet.
I think I'm going to have to learn how to use the G.E.C.K. all the various atomic foods give me all kinds of ideas for a food mod. And I can see why you wouldn't want retextures people tend to just make vanilla items such as food into different items instead of adding new ones. I'm thinking about a retexture of the fallout shelter sign; always thought it looked too new.
I plan on putting up some closed by the department of defense posters outside of the chinese restaurant and, the inside is going to be totally ransacked. With graffiti saying Get out you Red B******* and, what not. Like it was really closed by a mob.
I don't feel the need to be completely politicly correct with this game.
Chucksteel: You know, it just hit my, one can't use any Ads that contain actual photographs. That would look cheesy since oneself and NPCs don't look really natural. It would be rather bad for immersion. Luckily the 50s had much drawings. But i got a bunch of tv reveiver Ads and i can almost forget them. Well i try some filters on the faces.
I've used a few big band posters that have had real photographs that were small and pore quality that didn't seem to break immersion. Although, I always distress my posters before using them. I do agree, almost anything with Photographs are unusable because of immersion and don't fit the game.
Heck, i need to make a decision - about all my pics intended for ingame use (should be more than 200 by now!) Perhaps you can help: Should i edit them or just leave it? Thing would be there'd be a lot of waiting for the stuff, before i upload ">
If I were you, I would just upload them and, if your having fun doing some of the clean up you still can. Just ether upload them in a separate file or, place them in your images section. People can still grab them from there if they want. That way you don't have to feel like it's your responsibility to fix them all.
Your doing a lot of the really hard work by just finding all if this stuff.
