"Finally, the Holy Grail! If anyone has any ideas on how to generate a detection event from enemies dying or spotting their friends bodies it would be a major boost to realism. If you can pull this off you will be a scripting legend!"
I instantly thought of the mod "Responsive Kill Reactions" http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/11750/? ask the author how it's done
also, thanks for this mod. if my game weren't overloaded with mods that make it crash every 10 minutes, i'd play it and give you feedback...
The script I am using to add sound events to cans and bottles (written by Samaelaunweor and Mortemim) cannot be applied to shopping carts, as they are "movable static" objects rather than "Misc item". Samaelaunweor is apparently working on this, but if anyone has any ideas on how to overcome this issue, it would make the Super-Duper a more fun place.
I suggest the solution presented here to replace all shopping cart instances with misc versions: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/SkyrimCKPublic/discussions/0/558747921890341513/
Same was discussed in Havoc AI Alert mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/10895
Been using the mod for about 6-7months now and just wanted to give my feedback.
I'm in a huge love/hate relationship with this mod. On one hand outside the behavior improvements are great, if I miss a shot see everyone become alerted, travel to the shot and then start patrolling is fun as all get out (like a cat with a laser pointer ). Being detected from 120 yards out outside is great.
On the inside - completely game breaking for me. I know I play a loud class (power armor wearing big guns heyyo!) so I shouldn't be sneaky sneaky but I've got 50 points in stealth to help me set up before I engage without alerting people. The second I step inside (even stealthed) the enemy knows where I am. There's literally nothing I can do aside from popping a stealth boy to have any hope of avoid detection (and that's not even foolproof).
Like I said I'm not looking to be a master ninja in power armor I just want to avoid GENERAL detection if I'm taking precautions.
But the biggest thing is how this mod breaks level design for interior spaces. I just went through the Arlington library and in there the raiders have a great setup to have some fun firefight encounters (the main room with four raiders above 2 below, barricaded rooms with turrets, etc.) with this mod though the second they hear me they leave their positions and rush into hallways, stairwells, wherever to attack me. While more realistic a lot less fun overall and destroys any level design put in by the author.
This is further compounded if you have any (or many) companions. Dogmeat has been notorious for alerting enemies and this mod makes it a million times so in interior spaces/train tunnels.
Until this last issues is addressed the mod, to me, falls into the "download if you play the lone wolf character who likes stealth games like thief" and could not be endorsed as a total stealth overhaul for all play types.
However since I like the direction and passion of this mod I won't give it a thumbs down either and instead give you a kudos for 6-7 months of some solid exterior experiences. Cheers mate
This may have already been raised by others already, but I'm curious as to what effect this mod may have on various stealth-based perks such as Silent Running (which to my knowledge is about the *only* stealth based perk in the game), as well as the Chinese Stealth Armor which renders you pretty much invisible while sneaking, especially with the aforementioned perk. I'm curious because if it can take away from some of the godly sneaking ability granted to you by such a powerful combination, then this mod would be wonderful to have, negative side effects notwithstanding.
havnt downloaded but i LOVE where ur looking to take this mod. if ur goals on this mod get completed than im totally down for downloading this. dnt give up man!

Do you happen to know if this mod is compatible with responsive kill reactions?
Also, there's a mod called responsive kill reactions that makes dead NPCs alert nearby allies.
