I have the dynamic weather and enhanced weather installed. But for some reason I have never ever seen a sandstorm or radioactive rain of anykind that I can see. What could be causing this? All I ever see is rain and snow and that is it.??
Is Anyone having a problem where they get the rain sound effect but no rain? When I initiate rain through W.A.R.M. the textures and sounds work just fine but when it comes to it occurring through the cycles i will get the rain sound effect but not see any rain. It is seemingly something with the enhanced weather items because when I initiate rain through the enhanced weather item under the "aid" category in the Pip-boy I get the rain sound effect but no rain. I am using the Enhanced Weather - Rain and Snow V2 Hotfix and downloaded the Recommended file using vortex. I have also tried downloading the other files and manually installing them but both lead to the same issue. Here is my current load order:
After reading more post the problem was the "Enhanced Weather - Rain and Snow in fallout.esp." Upon disabling this it appears that my rain is now working. Hope this helps someone else :)
I noticed a bug recently, I haven't tested this thoroughly (as in other weather situations), but if you have a save file in which it is currently raining: if you reload that save file, whether by dying or just loading up the game: the rain, although being visible, will not make any sound. You can easily fix this by just entering a location and exiting. It is a minor annoyance. Has anyone encountered this issue before, and if so, are there any fixes, please?
Well, someone might've fixed it but seems par for the course in FO3 which was never intended to have any dynamic weathers and its 32-bit XP era engine barely able to run such, regardless of modern hardware. You're lucky you can see the rain upon reload. I'd guess the sound FX is desgined to be condition triggered by going outdoors so that if you happen to start a save indoors you don't hear it.
I have been trying to run this with Enhanced Weather Rain and Snow and while seem to work together I've noticed that the rain and thunderstorm settings don't use any raindrop effects. Using Enhanced Weather's weather test functions confirms that something is stopping the effect from appearing. My end goal is to retain Dynamic Weather's transitions between weathers but use Enhanced Weather's effects, including the snow one, and Dynamic Weather's sandstorm effect as part of the rotation of weather effects. Any ideas?
If you're using Enhanced Weather mod with Dynamic Weather you only need the .esm file from Enhanced Weather. Make sure it's placed above the Dynamic Weather .esm . Don't use the Enhanced Weather Rain .esp file. (and don't install the Reboot.esp because it has the Rain.esp as it's master)
Your load order should look like this :
Enhanced Weather - Rain and Snow .esm
Xepha's Dynamic Weather .esm
Xepha's Dynamic Weather - Main + DLC Merged .esp
Xepha's Dynamic Weather - Rain .esp
Xepha's Dynamic Weather - Sandstorms .esp
Xepha's Dynamic Weather - Weather Machine (Start Game Added) .esp
You can also use the Enhance Weather Interior Sound .esp. Just place it above the Dynamic Weather Main .esp. All this wil give you your rain drops back
"You can also use the Enhance Weather Interior Sound .esp. Just place it above the Dynamic Weather Main .esp. All this wil give you your rain drops back" - I haven't installed the "dynamic weather main.esp" file due to the instructions of the MO2 sort system recommendation wich suggested to install the "dynamic weather main + dlc merged.esp" instead. So if i'd wish to install the sound effect, i shoulld place it above this file ?
Great work, retains the original vibes of Fallout 3 while building off of it.
Which is exactly what I want when it comes to this game; I actually think the overall aesthetic of the Capital Wasteland is immaculate, and if I'm being honest, I've zero idea why anyone would want to change that.
Yes, I'm even talking about the green tint; I wouldn't get rid of that for anything. It gives the worldspace so much character.

Following your guide, I finally got weathers to work, and they're very impressive.

This has worked for me:
Load the two esm Files as your last esm's.
Load the esp's last, like my esp order.
Hope I could possibly help someone
Would it be possible to make the mod work with "https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/25215?tab=description"?
