I don't plan to update it and mess with Bolide spell anymore because I don't want to break gameplay balance too much. If any bugs occur caused by this mod (which is unlikely tbh) please post it.

I actually want to play around other Sorcerer spells, like Seism for example. It feels like underused and targeting it right is pain and luck in bundle. There are too many parameters to alter which I don't understand very well yet and all in all I have no idea what exactly can be improved here aside from maybe damage, but that's achieved by in-game growth (levelling/better equipment/etc) so that's pointless.

Post any ideas here. Spell parameter breakdown (xml) would be VERY helpful if someone is in that kind of thing. As a matter of fact I WON'T make spells overpowered no matter what, balance in vanilla game is well... fragile and breaking it even more isn't fun, eh?

Added Giant Bolide alternative fun mod, check it if you're interested, post any opinions/thoughts of it here, I might still tweak it if it gets popular, heh.

    Cheers.

How do I merge it with my already modified wan.arc? Did this before but forgot. I extracted both but idk which file inside was edited.

Use of this mod will disqualify one (unless the mod is not active) from reaping any credit for, or rewards from, fray with or the defeat of the online Ur-Dragon. All damage done during encounters is erased upon exiting the arena.

    Hi Signette,

Thanks for your mods, I was jumping up and down when I was loading your Giant Bolide.
I have a bit of technical problem and hope you can help.
When I downloaded your files ( "The spell pack" and "All in one with giant bolide") and extracted them, the stk.arc and wan.arc were 0 KB.
After putting them into the directory, the game loaded and crashed.

This doesn't happen to the other mods I download, though.
Or anyone can help me, please educate. Thanks a lot.

Hey, does the all-in-one with big bolide bundle include the enchantment length? I'm using it and I seem to have a very persistant enchantment... thing's survived 3-4 full pawn wipes while trying to fight death, wherein I haven't used enchantments or rehired any casters. It's even persisting on one of my rehired pawns. Trying to figure out if I didn't realize I was installing that mod or if my last sorc with a pact and various gear actually has that stupid long of an enchantment.

    Thanks!

Yep, it does, I pointed that out in Descriptions tab, about duration times, check that out:
      http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma/mods/274/?
If it really bothers you I might remove it, or try to remove Perpetuation Augment from your main and pawns, it would decrease time for a little bit at least xD

Ah, dang, sometimes I just can't read. Anyway, I went and found the tools that actually let me create the editable xml files instead of just unarcing things and tweaked it myself. Went with 60/120/180 instead of the default 40/120/180, and also made the bolides do 7 accurate / 3 random and 10 / 5. And found the magic shield enchantments (bld) and increased them to 45/90/120. So thanks :3

Btw, I messed up a bit, previous enchantments are probably infinite... You can redownload or tweak them yourself, since you can do it now. And just as a side note. it looks like when you set enchantments timer longer than 5 or 6 minutes it breaks and enchantments stick forever. If you may find out how to fix that and make enchantments last fixed amounts of time set longer than 6 minutes, let me know, ok?

I know this was posted quite a while ago but could you tell me what tools you used to tweak it yourself?

    Zalnerath;

Mine is not a definitive answer but from trying to puzzle out things myself what I've gathered is that there are two approaches:

    1) when reading the install instructions, what the authors are trying to tell us is that we're supposed to follow the file path to where the base file that is to be modified is located. Make a back up copy of it. Then overwrite the initial copy (i.e. NOT the backup) with the file(s) included in their mod. Which is simple and straight forward enough so long as the collection of mods you'd like to use don't each target the same file. In which case if it does, you have to resort to option 2.

    2) Is to go to http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma/mods/100/? first, and then settle in for a period of learning/trial-n-error of learning how to merge the values from the mods you're interested in.

Some mod authors have been kind enough to include files that merge several mods for the community, but there have been a few times where the documentation has been lacking because they're assuming the reader has been part of the development process from the beginning. Its a typical issue with people who aren't used to teaching others, they make connection leaps subconsciously because its already part of their intuitive knowledge.

Thanks for the reply. I figured as much with the whole overwriting files thing. the problem I'm having is I can't find the correct file path (or any file path for that matter) I'd really appreciate any help I can get at this point, because there are some mods I want to use, but they can only be installed manually.

Well, that is odd one, but whatever, done. Dropped in Prolonged Enchantments btw, if you want those for Mage too, check its mod page.
      Have fun =)

I didn't expect that so fast! Thanks! One thing I wondered about, you know the ice spear spell that Daimon uses? Is there any way to make that a usable spell

Sorry, adding new spells is impossible, I can only tweak existing ones.
