This works brilliantly if you take your time, it took me some 20 minutes to recreate her. Amazing work! feels like playing with Yen, awesome!

how on earth do you get such stunning screenshots? I've been sitting with my finger poised over the screenshot button watching all the cutscenes and dialogues but can't seem to find anything remotely similar to what you've got here. Is it all the cinematic tool?

    Beautiful characters, as always

Yes I use Cinematic Tools, a lot. So much that the prologue usually takes me about 5-6 hours to complete.
Tbh I can't imagine my PT without them anymore. I'm running the game with the latest patch and all DLCs there are, and the Cinematic Tools work no problem, so they are safe to use.

I usually pause scenes now, and then play around with the settings. I have more screens on Flickr if you are interested. https://www.flickr.com/photos/132791172@N02/

I would like your permission to add 'Yennefer' to my new FB page - Faces of the Inquisitor (https://www.facebook.com/DAIFaces) I would upload the sliders in an album there and ensure you are credited as the creator of the face. Thank you

Surprisingly there was only one person who said it doesn't look like her, but it was on the other forums which I don't care about. I thought people would come at me with pitchforks, but apparently not

Outstanding work here, only one thing baffles me. How on EARTH did you get her hair that dark? Is it just a quirk of the lighting where you took the screencaps? I can get either a dull grey or an overly shiny bluish black color, never the true black your character seems to have.

      Thank you

Unfortunately there's no way to get the black color unless you mess with a save file.
I mentioned in the description among the list of required mods, that you have to use DAI CLI save editor (found here on Nexus, link in the description). You have to download the editor and manually edit the color values.

      1. Drop save editor somewhere where it will be easiest to find. I use Desktop
      2. Open the game and save the character you want to edit
      3. Open the folder with saves and sort by date, the last save will be the char you just saved
      4. Copy the save to the place where save editor is. Again I use Desktop
      5. Drag the save onto the save editor. A command line with appear and present you with a list of options
      6. Press 3 and scroll down the values (using Enter) until you find the ones you need
      7. The values that you need for hair are Hair_color_red/green/blue, scalp_color_red/green/blue. There are also Eylash_color_red/green/blue and eyebrow_color_red/green/blue.
      8. Manually input values for each color. Basically to make the hair blacker/darker you have to reduce each value (RGB) closer to 0.000000. I used the following values for Yen: Hair_color and scalp_color - 0.010000, Eyebrows - 0.001000, Eyelashes - 0.000100. If you want blacker, then just put 0.000000 everywhere. Just don't touch the hair_spec1 and hair_spec2, or the hair will be a black spot with no reflection or detail.
      9. The save editor will then save the save file to the place with your original file (for me - Desktop), the edited file will have DAS.NEW extension.
      10. Delete the save you edited and leave the one with NEW extension. Then remove the NEW from the save file name and leave DAS. Save the save file.
      11. Drag the save file back into the DAI save folder and overwrite when prompted.
Now you can open it ingame and your char will have darker hair color.

With this method you don't have to close the game for the edited save to appear. You can just Alt+Tab the game, and keep it running in the background while you mess with the values.

Cheers, and my apologies. I have NO IDEA how I missed that part of your description, but I've gone ahead and bookmarked this amazingly detailed tutorial for later use. Not even just on this character, that's good to know in general! Outstanding job, and many kudos to you!

      Oh no problem
I don't usually read too much text myself, especially since its not even a mod.
Thanks for asking, I was thinking where to put this so people would see, and the description seemed like a bad place because its too detailed.
