Once the game updated from patch 9 to patch 10, I cant seem to get this to work. It worked perfectly before, any suggestions would be fantastic. Thanks!

Mhm. Black Ep + Patch 8 and the new item set files realy crashes every mod. :/ Even with some posted work arrounds does nothing work anymore to fix it. Its frustrading tbh. the "Task failed. Error reported was: Object reference not set to an instance of an object" or "Task failed. Error reported was: Instance already exists." is realy annoying.

Any idea if there will be an update to fix it?

I did exactly what you say for patch 6, i do not have patch 7 "black emporium", but i have some DLCs installed "Flames of Inquisition Weapons/Armors/Horse, Jaws of Hakkon" but the game does not launch, even with windows 7 compatibility and run as administrator!
Also i use DAI Mod Manager 0.52 and Lapis' Patch.daimod.
Looks like i am not the only one with this issue.

    EDIT:
Hey hey hey, i did something else and it works like a charm now!!!
Well, after trying the first normal method of DAI MM and then "Mods with patch 5 and 6" it did not worked, so what i did and works now, first i backuped patch 6 and renamed the backuped patch into Vanilla_v6, i extracted DAI MM v0.52 Alpha and used it BUT THIS TIME WITHOUT LapisLazzuli's/Zhentar's Patch.daimod, also without Force Rescan,
then i renamed the Patch folder into Patch6 and the Merged folder into Patch, when i opened the package.mft to rename "Version 8" into "Version 9", it was already v9 plus that in the last line has "ModManager v0.52 alpha", so i left it like it is, i run the game and BAM, it works great, but i suggest you to not install yet patch 7 "The Black Emporium" till D.A.I MM will be fully compatible with it!

    Hi there again, Lapis

Do u have any idea what's going on, if you got that "Task failed. Error reported was: Object reference not set to an instance of an object." msg, when it is processing "Update\ Patch\ Data\ Win32\ mounts_sp.toc" while you try to merge the mods to a destination? Downlaoded that the 0,52-version for patch 7. But as there has been a multiplayer patch and I don't have the Hakkon-DLC, the problem also could lay there by chance.

Thanks in advance for supporting and have a great weekend,
    Thur

Update: Launch as administrator. Better do it with rightclick, not by compatibility-tab. Happened, while I had to replace the ModManager.exe with the newer version.

Update 2: Still doesn't fix the problem yet. Patch processes till the end, but when replacing the files (deleting patch-folder and copiing the modded patch folder) the game doesn't launch anymore. The process starts, but that's all.[/b] Why is Bioware such a dick with messing up the modding in the meantime. They proved, that it is necassary to be able to modify a game for the core community, so why this behaviour *sigh*

I think that's something you should ask on the Dai Mod Forum. I have nothing to do with it's programming so saddly I cannot help you.

Nothing to be worried about, appreciate your honesty, cherished friend.

If I get the solution over there, I'll appear here to share it for other's to find, if you wanna add it to your list of solved problems in the description part under patch 7

Have a soft start to the week,
      Thur

Well... after fighting against several launch fails and copiing round the clean Patch 7 files I think I found a solution for my game version(ger), which is the up-to-date version, still WITHOUT the Hakkon-DLC:

      • - WITH Hakkon: Simply download the latest Mod Manager Version(0.52 = Hakkon fixes) + Lapis' "Patch.daimod" from here and run it, as recommended by Lapis' description.
      • - WITHOUT Hakkon: Avoid the latest version and download the 0.51 version + Lapis' "Patch.daimod" and then run it, as recommended by Lapis' description.

If it still doesn't work/start, uncheck mods, that change the inquisitors pyjama's look, sometimes that seem to be a solution key too.

(If you want, you could willingly add this to the description, Lapis.)

Hope this could help some of you out there.

      Aaaah I tried all of your steps without the DLC and tried disabling the pajama textures and got rid of some older mods that I wasn't sure were still working, but alas, it just won't load with the Merged (modded) Data folder & package file. It appears in my Task Manager but doesn't pop up. I'm [ ] this close to downloading the DLC just to get my mods working again, even though I haven't beaten the main campaign yet @@;;

I've also tried disabling the Increased Inventory mod as someone mentioned that might be an issue. Task Manager, but no game window. :(

HRM. Well. I don't know if this is what really did it, but I wound up just downloading ALL THE DLC (!!) and the game loads with my mods just fine now. Thank the Maker!

It seems, I found the solution. An it's here (Maker bless that user, who told everyone, what to do):
      http://daitools.freeforums.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=738

For those like me, who have Black Emporium, but don't have The Jaws of Haccon.

It appears, that you have to install ModManager v50. Not earliest, not latest version. Then you have to delete the modded folder from Update and keep the default Patch 7 folder. After that you should do the full repair from Origin. After that merge the mods by MM v50 and DELETE the default Patch 7 folder from Update, rename the modded folder to 'Patch'.
Hadn't thought it would work, but it actually did.
I hope, it will help others, because it was really helpful for me.

Thank you very much for the updates. Everything is working fine for me with Patch 7 + MM 0.50 (not using configurable mods). Any ideas on a Mod Manager supporting DLCs?

Just to verify, MM V.50 comes with a patch.daimod in the directory. You much check "disable" for this in the mod list?

That was the only way I was able to get my mods to merge without error.

Edit: I'm asking because even without error my mods are not loading.

Can now confirm that this method no longer works with Patch 7, and that all mods are now broken once again.

In my case, the new patch stopped the game from launching entirely until I deleted the Update folder, and then did a repair. Attempts to get mods working with Patch 7, using the method described on here have, so far, failed.

Oh, well it was nice while it lasted.

Here's a link to MM 0.50 Alpha that should be working with the new patch: http://daitools.freeforums.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=738

    I haven't tried it yet.
