So I have now played the main game plus all DLC but Trespasser with the new version on, and I can confirm that it does not cause infinite load or crashes. I do not recommend to use it when playing Trespasser tho, besides being untested, I am working for specific version just for it :)
There is also really no point of having this on for Descent, it works but you won't see any changes cause you are underground xD
I am not super sure but you might need JoH and Trespasser for this mod to work. Not 100% sure so tho.
While it's a great work, be aware that some environmental changes are quite drastic because of altered sky boxes, and they present authored feeling of the map. I provided some before and after screenshots. As an experience for a new playthrough, it will be a fresh new look though. The Storm Coast with the mod active shows too many imperfections now compared to when they were hidden by the mist, etc. At least, its coastal part.
Excellent! No crash, no infinite load, not even using optional files for DLC. Maybe its your Frosty, stable at 1.0.6.0. Combined with Darkest Hours and everything is terrific. Thank you for this.
Hello! I really enjoy your mod so i've come to make a small request if it is possible. Can you please return the storm coast sky as it was in the original game? For a seperate download, like a patch of sorts. Sunny sky doesn't quite work for me, especially in a place called storm coast.
I'm not modding DAI at all anymore but you could make override for storm coast by yourself, you would need to find vanilla files linked to that place that are edited in this mod and then import+export unedited files to replace them. If you would then load this after my mod, stormcoast should look like in vanilla. I won't be doing any editing to my DAI/MEA mods anymore.
Absolutely love this mod- the lighting changes are incredible. I did have a small glitch, however, not sure what's causing it.
I installed the purple sand addition (it makes the sandy areas SO MUCH easier on the eyes) but in places where the sand is piled- near mine/temple entrances- there's multicoloured pixels. Not sure what's going on there?
I did few full playthroughs originally with these mods on and none of this happened so it could be some mod combination thing, new frosty mod manager or too little memory issue. I know some people also had the thing where sky turned pixelated but that never happened for me either. If you have a pretty new computer and you do not use any other environment texture mods besides the sand texture.. ? If you have frosty alpha mod manager, you could try to go back to non alpha version, other than that, I don't know.
My comp is pretty new- only a year old, with 16GB of RAM. I also don't have any other environmental mods. I'd switch back to an older version of Frosty, but ECC doesn't work on the older versions for me.
It's not an overtly large issue- it's only in the Forbidden Oasis. I didn't see it in the Hissing Wastes or the Western approach! Just thought I'd bring it to your attention. Thanks for the reply, and thanks for the mod! Aside from this one thing, it makes the desert areas MUCH more tolerable!
This mod is gorgeous - I'm glad you're still updating it! I haven't done a DA:I run in a while so I booted it up with this mod on, and it's a gamechanger. I did run into the infinite loading screen again when accessing the servants' quarters in WEWH but it was easily resolved by turning off the formal attire mod I had. The mod in question was the Frosty version of Champagne and Truffles - I'm not sure if this particular mod is the issue or whether Northern Lights has conflicts with all finery mods, but I thought you should know regardless. Cheers!
formalwear retextures in general are known for being glitchy when loaded via frosty, it's not caused by a conflict with this mod. if you intend to fix the issue, you can use the formalwear fix by padme4000, but make sure you get the special version of frosty linked on the mod, otherwise, it will not work, it's not made for frosty 1.0.5.9.
