A new retexture and mesh that replaces the Inquisitor Throne. Many different metal colors to choose from, based on the game's default metals. Very heavily inspired by The Iron Throne from GoT.

~Also, I noticed after using in different reshades/lighting/settings the Obsidian Throne looked lighter than it does with the ones I usually use, so I addedObsidian Throne v2 which is same as original, just slightly darker. If I go pitch black then none of the details show. The cushioned Obsidian one contains the slightly darkened metal, too

The moment I saw our Inquisitor's official seat of judgement, I must admit I was a tad...underwhelmed.
Josephine: "Impressive, is it not?"
Me: "Ummmmmm...well, it's ok...I guess. But I'm thinking something more...imposing. And shiny. And pointy.
I originally only tried it as practice/experiment and didn't intend for this mess to actually work out and become a real mod, but here it is :)
Josie says the Inquisitor's throne is meant to "show influence and the burden of it." I'm a Game of Thrones fan and all I could think of was how in SOI&F, the Iron Throne is described as being intentionally uncomfortable & dangerous to sit on, to signify that ruling is not an easy job. So I decided to make us a throne inspired by that. I couldn't make it look exactly like The Iron Throne due to limits in mesh editing (so many pieces I used had very few vertices to work with) but I used the concept as inspiration and took every little bit from the mesh I could until the 18 swords on the default one became 159 plus however many are on the diffuse texture beneath the mesh ones. I kept a lot of that brazier accessory thing intact, but it has a new style and a tiny little sword on a chain because *shrug*
To prepare:
Replaces the Inquisition Throne, which unlocks immediately upon arriving at Skyhold
Once you get to Skyhold, repeatedly complete the war table mission Gather Coin until you get both accessory upgrades. This is crucial, since I had to use bits from the fully upgraded mesh to make it as swordy as possible (I'm just making up words).
***I highly recommend the wonderful mod War Table - No Waiting by Tahira, so getting the upgrades will be super fast and easy
I'd love to see your screenshots of your inquisitors on their new thrones :)
I also will take requests, like for other colors or if anyone wants a cloth cushion instead for delicate fannies
I did Iron (obvs) and also tried some of the lore-friendly metals. All the metal colors seem to look different depending on the type of armor they're on, so I went with what I felt was a close compromise for each one:
Iron: dark silver
Everite: a lighter warmer silver
Silverite: silver
Blue Vitriol: pale bluish silver
Obsidian: black
Bloodstone: red
Dawnstone: pink (Iron Bull Greatly Approves)
Drakestone: dark rusty-orange copper
Summerstone: light pinkish copper
Pyrophite: just copper
Serpentstone: greenish silver
Veridium: green
Lazurite: blue
Nevarrite: purple
Volcanic Aurum: pale gold
Gold: gold, duh
I tried to fake the color shift in these duochrome metals, so it kinda looks like it changes as you move around it:
Ice Dragon Bone: orange and dark purple
Dragon Bone: orange and green
Stormheart: teal and purple
Veil Quartz: neon green and orangey-yellow
Aaaaaand one I made up just for fun:
Rainbone: yeah, "Rainbone" is - you guessed it - rainbow. (See what I did there? *elbows you with a super dumbass cheesy smile on my face*)
Oh yeah, and you'll notice some of the swords disappear if you're looking
at the throne directly from behind it, since I used the back
halves of most mesh pieces to get more out of them, but who cares about
the back view?
