Hi, I have a noob question. You said in the description that after you override her base armor and took a screenshot you renamed the files to replace her romance armor. Is it possible to rename those files again to override her base armor? Cause this mod looks so cute but I'm not planning to romance Merrill on my next playthrough.
I can't wait to play DA2 again! I haven't romanced Merrill yet but really want to for my canon Hawke and this would be a perfect fit for Miss Merrill. It adds a more mature tone to here than that pure white no skin shown armor (it is pretty but quite...bright). I can't wait to use it with your other armor for her (the merribela one)! Like every companion Merrill will finally have some obvious red in her armor too.
I was talking about a standalone version to use it with DFA or EYP. But don't worry, I found a way to wear it without following Merril's romance, and without losing the other armor. Thanks for the reply anyway.
this is SO adorable. is there a version of this texture that would work with the base romance armor mesh? i'd love to have a version compatible with the simplified merrillmance armor (when i finally release it...)!
OMG its far too cute! To me, this is how her romance armour should be. Thank you
Maker, i just looked ingame at one of my romanced merrill saves.. ITS BEAUTIFUL, she is beautiful. I have a mod with her in morrigans hair, the flowers around it is perfect.
Oh gosh, thank you! Merrill's so strongly green themed to me, so it just seemed totally bizarre to me to suddenly switch her into this white chainmail thing with a zillion shoulderpads XD
And yeah, I made sure to attach the flowers to her armor vs. her hair mesh, since I knew a lot of people liked to try out different hairstyles on her. I'm glad it works for you!
You're welcome! It was a pain in my butt to finally figure out the trick, but I believe I've finally gotten it! (Of course, one of the hair export people has discovered some weird issue now where hair textures don't look right anymore, so it's always something @_@ But I've done some cutscene testing and the outfit performance seems great!)
I like how it looks and all, but I came across something of a problem? It may be a conflict with one of my own mods but I thought you should know.
I have two mods that affect Merrill: A mod that makes it so she can wear armor of her own (it opens up the armor slots and lets her wear what I give her, and normally works fine) and a mod that makes a romanced Merrill fight beside a Warrior/Rogue Hawke during Varric's story at the start of the game. (Also a spell mod but I doubt that's it.)
Merrill appears as a bunch of zip-zagged red-and-green lines. After removing the armor mod, it still appears like that so it's not a conflict there. Any ideas as to the problem?
Are you using the DirectX9 renderer or the DirectX11? My mesh exportation alpha is only compatible with DirectX9 (I've been trying for ages to figure out the source of the DX11 incompatibility - the moment I crack it I'm fixing this, so help me), and often appears like that with DX11.
