I wanted to use this to basically give me a boost at the beginning, and remove it a little way into Act I. However, it seems that when I remove it, I'm permanently stuck at having zero experience to my next level- getting into combat provides me with no experience at all. So I'm stuck either leveling up faster than I would like, or not leveling up at all.
You'll level up after removing the mod but you'll need to catch up on the experience needed for the next level. The game calculates the total experience for a level up, not just the one needed from level to level. In your case it only shows 0 EXP because the total amount is lower than the one needed for the actual level.
When you just want to start at a higher level I recommend using Cheat Engine instead.
Thanks a lot, that's very helpful! Good to know what's going on- and what to do about it. I'm sure I can figure something out now (and I'm glad I've been drawing this playthrough out enough for that to still be valid! )
I just started to play DA2 again..and i will try this too, among other mods. It's true it gets harder later level, but that should no be much of a problem if you have evolving items and such. Though without them or at least very little of them game is challenging. Gonna endorse later.

1) Easy Buff and Better and Evolving Companion Weapons mods are compatible with this Easy Exp mod?
2) Can i use this Easy Exp mod with the Simple Abilities mod from here: http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage2/mods/3861/ ?
2) Yes, they should be compatible. But Easy Buff isn't compatible with it.
