For those like me who still can't figure out why this mod isn't working - You only get to CHOOSE ONE of the several options inside the Zip file when you download this mod. Open the Zip file, and just extract the 'abi_base_A_B_C.gda' if you want all the options this mod offers.
It won't work if you just unpack all the files from this mod into your override. I would have known that if I had read this mod properly first.
Hey Guys n Girls.. So i was having a problem with getting "Glowing eyes for Hawke" - by kurniallah2412 to work correctly with "Total Freedom" - by Xodarap777 and i spent a while toying with the .gda files only to realise, after wasted hours.. that both mods change the base file...noob hey?
Glowing eyes and "0 Cost 1 Second Cooldown" - by Seipherwood work perfectly together incase you're wondering. Anyway, once i had used the "Total Freedom" mod to acquire all the abilities and talents etc that i wanted, i removed the "abi_base_A_B.gda" - (the one i chose to use and also the one causing the glowing eyes and cooldown mods to not work correctly in conjunction with total freedom mod) from my override folder, and low and behold, everything is now working perfectly ..
Note: The problem i was having was that "Blood Magic" - sustained and ativated abilities, had no sound effects whatsoever but my eyes were glowing. Immensely annoying to be badass without epic blood magic sfx
I'm sure most people out there know this but i just wanted to put this out there in understandable terms for "Hawkes" like me who aren't too clued up about modding.
Lastly.. I Want to thank the modders who make our games so much better, believe me, i now know how long it takes to get it right..you guys are awesome.

doesnt work for me ,first of all the iconic abilities like mighty blow don't have their cd cut in half but that seems to be a limitation of every cd mod i tried. Next it doesn't seem to get rid of any level or point restriction regardless of which optional mod i try. tried all that i could , like having this as my only mod for eg.\Im guessing its just not compatible with my version f the game.I have the special all dlc version.
I love the idea, and I've even gotten it to work, which is brilliant! But I have a question. Nothing pressing, but I'd like an answer. It's stated in the description that this mod WILL work with other abi_base_name.gda files, so long as they obey the three rules. But it doesn't work with Ranged Staff Animation Replacer by JulianP (http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage2/mods/3900/?) I suspect that he hasn't obeyed the 'first rule' quite enough, since the names are different and it wouldn't make sense for them to actually NEED to change the same line. I was wondering if anyone knew of an easy (whether lengthy or not) way to make the two .gda files exist happily. I have only tested with the A_B_C version of Total Freedom, and when both it and Julian's mod are active, only his works. Total Freedom is subdued and doesn't activate- for new or old games. I am not adverse to messing with raw code, it's nothing terribly new to me- and I have no problem downloading a (safe and free) program to assist in this goal. As I said, it's no rush. I've posted a similar question on the other mod page, and I can live with the default animations for a while. I've simply grown accustomed to the replacer, and actually really like them.
EDIT: I've only just realized that my Hawke Rogue can't equip a bow. Says it "Requires Archery". Is there already a fix to this that I missed in the comments? ----- NVM! I found the fix on Xoda's other mod, All Specs - All Abilities! Now I just need a solution to my original problem.
Edit: Realized i raged abit last time i wrote here so, rewriting it abit. Im having trouble getting this mod and DA2 Cheaper Sustainables (http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2309) working together.. is it possible for a compatibility patch? or maybe you make some addon to make sustains cheaper? (just like how you made cooldowns cut in half.)
Maybe this is a dumb question, but I can't seem to spend Specialization Points - not that I need to exactly since I have access to the abilities, but was curious if that was intentional? Does my character have the bonuses given by specializations already?

Please fix this bug. :(
