    Appears this detail is important:

    ...a file named Ser_Gilmore_NPC_v3.1.1.dazip, 428 Mb, and also a cc_core_200.dazip (Companion compatibility core v2.0) 564Kb. IMPORTANT!
cc_core_200.dazip is OPTIONAL! Do NOT install it unless you really need it. Normally you will be able to play without it.

Update - removing that didn't solve the issue - Gilmore won't join party even after he agrees to do so.

Hello! I hope people are still around

I encountered an issue. I recruited him in lothering, have the convo and see him in the character select screen. Once I add him and return to the game, he is not there. No matter what I do I cannot add him in lothering, one slot would just be empty

EDIT: Just to be clear, I don't have the awakening mod installed. All I installed were the files from this mod's page.

    Thanks!

Like me - you probably installed the second dazip included in the main file download - it appears that is actually OPTIONAL and not really a main file:

      4- The result is a file named Ser_Gilmore_NPC_v3.1.1.dazip, 428 Mb, and also a cc_core_200.dazip (Companion compatibility core v2.0) 564Kb.
IMPORTANT! cc_core_200.dazip is OPTIONAL! Do NOT install it unless you really need it. Normally you will be able to play without it.

Not sure if it's affecting anyone else, but the contents of the mod don't match what's listed in the preview & when I extract the file the dazip is completely missing from it. I never had any issues previously but I redownloaded all my mods to my new pc and it's just not there

That’s an issue on Nexus’ part, sometimes they don’t wanna recognize dazip files as legitimate zips so just give you the manifest and the contents when you unzip the mod. Very easy solution though, just merge the contents folder and the manifest into a zip file and rename the end of that zip to dazip and it should work just fine!

Can you elaborate on this please? Whenever I manual download I just get one folder called "Ser Gilmore NPC v 3_1_1-851-3-1-1.rar" I don't get any overrides or anything that I can merge together.

I've been dreaming about saving Sir Gilmore for 15 years! That would seem to be just a temporary character, unremarkable. And yet... It is impossible to forget him, I fell in love very much. Many thanks to the author of the mod! Sir has fit so well into the party, into history! Indeed, he has the blood of the dragon fighters in him - the only one who remained conscious and finished off the dragon)

But I have one question - I chose an option that is not romantic, although it is logical for myself - in my youth I did not kiss him, but just were good friends. And now I'm afraid that there won't be a novel, but I've already gone far along the plot... Tell me, will there be another opportunity to start a romantic relationship?

When you consider the bugs it will cause in the game, it doesn't seem like a mod worth installing. The idea of Ser Gilmore as an NPC is a really good one, but it should have been added by the developers. Adding it later with a mod would not feel natural anyway.

For anyone wondering, yes it's one the most incredible efforts in Dragon Age modding, ever. However, the new VA that was used has much worse audio quality than the base game. He's also not as emotive, in the time I spent with him at least.

Remember this is a mod that was made over 10 years ago, the quality of things like this was expected to be lower. If the voice lines were re-recorded, this would be an auto-include, for everyone, ever. As it is I can not recommend it.

Nice mod, I tried it out of curiosity but well, since I play in French it kinda messed up some dialogues lmao. Still, great job with that mod!

I'm having some trouble getting him to join our party. I talk to him un camp and all seems good but when I put him in party he isn't with us when we "land" wherever we were goin to. This is a new problem for me, it's never happened before. Any thoughts on this? OH! I did accidently put his Awakening mod in the bloody updater. Can't get it out without losing ALL the rest! I suppose that could be it??! lol
