I saw this module was ranked not very good on this fan made review and out of curiosity I played it. And you know what? It's not that bad. The companions I think are where the module shines best. All very unique personalities. I encountered some bugs here and there and had to crank the final boss down to easy but overall it was a nice little jaunt into the world of the dwarves. This module has some TOUGH combat and for that reason alone Id recommend it to anyone a fan of Quests and Legends style difficulty.

Because you were able to make such great mod, I wonder if you could make location Gwaren. It's described on this forum topic. https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/12007993-request-gwaren-town/

Does anyone know where the 4th casteless is? His name is Welle Drat.

Just finished the mod. It's honestly really underwhelming, but I suppose I can't expect much with the toolset.
The ending wasn't that satisfying and the entire thing is way too difficult. I played it on Nightmare and I must admit the entire module was balanced horribly considering I was using a dual wielding rogue.
I cannot understand why both Ashaad and Bundy are archers, isn't one archer enough?
Kudos for effort but I honestly wouldn't recommend this.

Not sure if anyone will read this but the mod looks quite fun and can't wait to play, thanks for the love in this game.

I declined Rgnar's offer. I finally killed all the Templars and made it back to town. Palace is locked. Came here, read about some chest behind Ragnar. Went back to the chamber where I fought the desire demon. No chest, no key.

So now what? I can't finish the module without that key.

Sounds like a tough bind. Wish I can help but doubt there are that many online that have played this interesting DLC.

This was an extremely interesting story line that was original enough that I could not predict it. That said, it was also extraordinarily difficult as some of the others said. Given the story, I figured a rogue would fit in well with a group of money-grubbing mercs hoping to plunder lyrium from Kal Sharok before Orzammar invades, so I decided to roll rogue and focus on dual wielding daggers. This was a mistake as I had nobody in my party that could stand for very long against the kind of enemies (or number of enemies) that you sent forth. You really went overboard in this regard to be honest.

That said, I did manage to finish the game using a couple of unconventional strategies which I will list here for those who are struggling with the difficulty of the fighting.

    #1) Kite Your Enemies!

In the MMO world, the term "kiting" means that someone runs around in a circle to keep melee based enemies chasing you. So long as you maintain enough distance between that party member and the pursuing enemies, the runner won't take damage and the other three party members are free to focus fire on other enemies, one at a time. With a strategy like this, you generally want everyone using a ranged weapon, and since both Bundy and Ashaad have ranged weapon skills, this was the way I had to go.

This strategy actually makes the final Ragnar fight EASY. All you have to do is run around in a circle with him chasing you while the other three shoot at him. If he changes target to someone else, that person becomes the runner and the former runner starts shooting. Make sure Velanna the Blind is with you and has a spell of "Heal", just in case anyone gets hit (using no other spells to conserve mana) and you eventually wear him down.

    #2) Lure Into Ambush!

Something I did in the original campaign was to have all my party members hold, then send out a runner who would inch forward slowly in hopes of pulling 1-3 enemies out of a room as opposed to the entire room. The runner would then run back to the rest of the party with those enemies in tow. Ideally, you can take out an entire room in 3 separate battles rather than one enormous battle.

Unfortunately the second strategy doesn't help when you are assailed by an unreasonable number of enemies the instant you emerge from one zone to the next. In particular, when I zoned through the hidden passage, I had one party member kiting the yellow-named "Cult Champion", another party member kiting the bulk of the enemies, and the other two taking down the enemies one by one. When I went through the trapdoor I had a full three party members kiting and only one attacker. That was ugly.

    Anyway, hope these ideas help!

I also had an issue with an ! over Theirin's head but no quest given. I did two quests for him, was that all there is?

I was wondering if the companions you meet during this mod stay with you during the regular campaign of Dragon Age: Origins.

When I try to create a character, it disappears after I choose race. If I choose either gender, they show up as male on the outside. If I chose female and look in inventory, the female has no clothes (except something like bra and panties) on nor does she have any hair. When I wield a weapon, it is invisible. Difficult to play the game like this. Is there a fix for this?

Only if you used the Character Creator to make him/her, in which case you can import your character at starting level just like you would for the OC.

If you mean importing your level 20, Juggernaut-armour-wearing Grey Warden, then no, you can't, I'm afraid. But you're meant to be playing as a lowly mercenary anyway, rather than a near-godlike national hero.
