Hi everyone! Today I bring you my first Dragon Age mod.
It's a retexture for Duncan’s armor based on the Grey Warden armors from DA2 Legacy DLC.
I love the Grey Wardens of Ferelden mod and I can’t play without it since I discovered it. Unfortunately it puts Duncan in a generic Warden massive armor and, while this is not a bad thing, I felt that it didn’t fit him quite well. He’s a rogue and a Warden Commander and he should have a unique armor, right? Thus I’ve retextured his original armor and tried to give it a more wardeny look. It's far from perfect, but it's the best I could do.
Note that this is a retexture, not a standalone armor. It only contains texture files and therefore will only work on Duncan. If you want your PC to wear it you will need to download an additional mod that makes the armor available to them.
UPDATES: - v1.1 Slightly bigger griffin crest and better texture for the scales of the skirt.
- v1.2 Improved normal map. If you downloaded an older version, please delete it and install this new version instead.
- Added an optional recolor of v1.2 to match LapisLazzuli's Grey Warden B textures.
INSTALLATION:
Download one of the two versions, decompress the file with Winrar and put the content into your override folder (you can find it into Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core).
UNINSTALLATION:
Remove it from your "override" folder.
COMPATIBILITY:
This mod will conflict with any other mod that changes/retextures Duncan's armor.
It should work fine with mods that let your Warden/companions wear Duncan's armor as long as they use the same original texture files and don't include standalone ones, (my textures will only replace others with the same exact name).
You can make it work along with Grey Wardens of Ferelden deleting the following files from your override folder:
