Random Encounters are Less Random in DAO
Version 1.0
=================
Requirements:
=================
Dragon Age: Origins
=================
Description:
=================
Some World Map Random Encounters have such a low trigger chance that they rarely occur. This raises the probability for most rare encounters to at least 50%.
=================
Details:
=================
The original TriggerChance for Strange Wood/Axameter was 1%; the new TriggerChance is 75%.
The original TriggerChance for Twisted Forest/Wild Sylvans was 20%; the new TriggerChance is 50%.
The original TriggerChance for Forest Clearing/Werewolves was 30%; the new TriggerChance is 50%.
The original TriggerChance for Twisted Path/Bandit Ambush was 20%; the new TriggerChance is 50%.
The original TriggerChance for The Crater/Supermetal was 2%; the new TriggerChance is 75%.
The original TriggerChance for Treacherous Path/Shades was 2%; the new TriggerChance is 50%.
I didn't touch any of the Denerim Randoms. Nor did I alter any plot requirements. And Old Tegrin will show up just as often.
=================
Installation:
=================
Drop the tsm_randoms folder into \My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override.
=================
Un-Installation:
=================
Delete the tsm_randoms folder.
=================
Known Issues:
=================
Will conflict with any other files editing rand_forest.gda, rand_highway.gda, and rand_plains.gda.
=================
Notes:
=================
Encounters may trigger earlier than in vanilla, and hence be more difficult. (THere was probably a reason for the 2% TriggerChance assigned to Treacherous Path.)
For Dragon Age Awakening, I recommend LemmingoftheGDA's More Encounters DA Awakening.
