Alistair's Proposal Readme

The mod adds an optional cutscene to Alistair's post coronation dialogue in which if the right conditions are meet, he will propose to the Warden.

This mod will add an optional cutscene to Alistair�s coronation dialogue under two sets of conditions:

First: if Alistair was not made king at the landsmeet and is �in love�, meaning in an active relationship and at �love� approval, with a female warden of any race or origin.

Second: if Alistair was made king at the landsmeet and is �in love�, meaning in an active relationship and at �love� approval, with a Female Human Noble and is not engaged to Anora.

Note: If Alistair was made king, the optional scene will be available to a Female Human Noble both if the Warden got engaged to him at the Landsmeet and if they did not.

Note: If they did not get engaged at the Landsmeet this proposal will constitute a �real� proposal which will trigger the 'marriage' epilogue slides, the �wife� dialogue in Awakening, and Dahlialynn�s The Royal Wedding. It provides a true alternative to getting engaged at the Landsmeet for a Female Human Noble.

The cutscene will cut off the rest of Alistair's post-coronation dialogue. I can't imagine that he or the Warden would want to talk about the ritual just after or just before getting engaged.

You do not have the option to say no to the actual proposal. If you pick the dialogue option to trigger the scene you will be engaged at the end of it.

Conditions

If Alistair was made king at the Landsmeet, he must be �in love� (meaning in a current relationship and at 'love' approval, either mistress or engaged) with a Female Human Noble and not already engaged to Anora.

If Alistair was not made king at the Landsmeet, he must be 'in love' (meaning in a current relationship and at �love� approval) with a female warden of any race or origin.

If the right conditions are meet then there will be a new conversation option early in his coronation dialogue. You must choose the right option to trigger the scene.

Installation: Put unzipped files into override. Make sure no other copy of 'epi_alistair.dlg' is in your override.

Uninstall: Delete the files from override.

Optional Files:

My Extended King Proposal: This is an extended version of the �king� proposal that I made for myself. Take files and copy into Main file folder and override existing files when asked.

Alistair's Optional Warden Armor:

Files that will put Alistair in either the Warden-Commander Armor from Warden�s Keep if you have that DLC installed

or the DA2 Legacy Armor from the mod Grey Wardens of Ferelden if you have that mod installed.

Please note: Alistair will wear armor whether he is king or a warden and if king and conditions are met, he will wear it in The Royal Wedding mod.

Fergus Introduction: This mod add a bit of extra dialogue to the conversation a Female Human Noble has with Fergus at the coronation and an option to introduce Fergus to Alistair, if Alistair was made king at the Landsmeet and the Warden is engaged to him when the conversation with Fergus happens.

If the Warden did not get engaged at the Landsmeet the proposal in this mod will trigger the �wedding� dialogue and make the cutscene available.

This mod can be used independently from the main mod.

Again the conversation between Fergus and Alistair has dialogue but no voice work and is observed from a distance. If you wish to see what is actually being said, you can enable subtitles.

For option to introduce, a Warden must select the option that they will see Fergus at the wedding and then select the introduction option.

Install: Put files into override.

Remove any copies of �epi_fergus.dlg/b� from override. Known mods that contain a copy of that file are: ZDF and IRS-A Optional Epilogue Fixes.

Remove any copies of �epi300ar_post_coronation.are� before reaching the rooftop to fight the archdemon. Mods known to contain that file are Improved Atmosphere and Flash�s Creature Rescale.

You also might want to remove �epi200cr_fergus.utc� from IA, before facing the archdemon. It doesn�t hurt anything but it does put Fergus into what is my opinion an ugly suit of armor.

Uninstall: Delete files from override.

If Alistair was made king at the Landsmeet and a Female Human Noble did not get engaged to him at the Landsmeet, the proposal in this mod will trigger the wedding scene from that mod.

Compatibility:

The mod will not work with 'Anyone Can Marry Alistair' mod. If Alistair is king, the proposal will only be available for a Female Human Noble, even if a non-human noble is already engaged to him and I am not going to make a version that does, so please don't ask.

The mod will not work for a male warden at all whether Alistair is king or a warden, even if mods are installed that allow a male warden to have a relationship with Alistair and I am not going to make one that does, so please don't ask.

Troubleshooting

Proposals: If dialogue option not appearing, search for �epi_alistair.dlg/b�

If scene not triggering once option selected, check if criteria are met and no mod conflicts.

Introduction: If dialogue option not appearing, search override for �epi_fergus.dlg/b�

If scene takes place out of sight, search override for �epi300ar_post_coronation.are�

If still having issues, leave a comment stating origin of the Warden, if Alistair is king or a warden, Alistair�s approval level and the results of the Landsmeet, and list if you have any dialogue altering or fix mods, any mods that alter origins, or any type of relationship mods, and finally what the mod is doing: is the scene not triggering or is the dialogue option not appearing, and what the dialogue does say.
