As a sufferer of arachnophobia, I'm begging you, could you please do something more affective? I appreciate the effort but they still drop from the ceiling as they are still in spider shape "> I'm dying to play this game. I paid for it, put some serious effort for installing the downloadable content and such but it's just impossible for me to play the game in this state and this is no joke. I thought of calling a friend and make him beat the parts including the spiders but unfortunately those goddamn creatures are not just in one area...If you can somehow replace the spiders with something else or do something that kills them instantly the moment they appear, me and other people like me will be forever in your debt. Thanks in advance.
I kind of wonder, if we could figure out how to edit this mod, could we make the texture turn the things completely invisible with alpha texture to make it 100% transparent? I'd honestly rather my character die than myself IRL die of panic attack...
Just so I don't have to find out the hard way... I unzipped it, and one of my friends said they left it zipped and it worked. does it work unzipped too?
While fake game spiders usually only freak me out a bit when they come out of nowhere (exception being the Dark Elf Spiders in Everquest... OMFG those things drove me insane I was terrified every time I had to travel through the areas they were in) mostly cause they aren't real, I do somewhat understand as I do have arachnophobia.
lol I think this might creep me out slightly more than the original version... There should be a mod out there that turns all spiders into something else completely. Like bunnies!
While I personally have no need for this mod (I've been known to move non-poisonous spiders much like lizards-- 'shoo' it onto my hand / a piece of paper / into a cup, carry it outside, release) I know a few people who are arachnophobic.
Irrational fears suck, whether they're from solid logic (poisons, physical harm) or not (small lizards, because "it's just creepy!" Yes, that is a real reason some people fear them). Kudos to you for finding a workaround and providing it should others seek release from the fear of the recluse. (Har, spider pun. Sorry, had to.)
