both links in the description lead to 404s.... so... that's a thing. if the mod is dependent on something, maybe "future"-proof the links to that thing, idk :/
I can't seem to get this to work. I'm scratching my head, followed all the instructions, other mods are working okay. I tried different resolutions. I can run scripts but no text shows.
Hey everyone, I don't know if anyone still plays this but I just installed it on a laptop I thought wouldn't be able to handle, and BOOM! It works.
I found a nice way to speed up typing the console commands with a small program called "Auto Hot Key" to write simple scripts. I'm not very tech savvy, but I know how to use Google. These are shortcuts for your console command line items you want to use instead of constantly typing it out over and over. Check it out:
(**NOTE**- Right-Click your hotkey script and select "Run with UI Access" or it won't work) the characters in between the :: and :: are the keys you are programming to run the script of whatever follows.
When you open up console command, just type `` and the script with type the command for the first line- runscript healplayer. I used this technique while playing GTA SA so I didn't have to remember all those weird codes and this can be used with more games.
I hope this helps somebody, because it took me awhile to figure out a way to expedite typing out these codes. Later tater.
So just installed Dragon Age Origins Ultimate and then downloaded and ran DAO Mod Manager. It actually has a setting to "Run Dragon Age With Console" and it worked for me - so I don't know why this mod is needed. Maybe Ultimate fixed the issue? I'm running Windows 10.
Installation instructions are on the Description Tab; it's a copy and paste of the ERF file you downloaded -into the ~/Documents/BioWare/Dragon Age/packages/core/data/ folder. That's it. Next time you start up the game and load your last savegame, open the Console and start typing: text should be visible (top left of your screen). For most the tilde key ["~"] opens the console; before you start typing your console commands, you may want to hit the Backspace key first. Of cours, you need to have the Console enabled or you won't be able to access it at all; if you haven't already, the following link will tell you more: https://dragonage.fandom.com/wiki/Console_(Origins).
i really would like an dragon age 2 version of this i am willing to make that but i got 0 modding skills i am willing to learn through so if anyone would help me i am willing
This mod basically fixes the font failing to be installed during game installation. DAII does not have the same issue, there simply is no missing font to reintroduce.
Can't install the font, windows 10 says "does not appear to be valid font".
Edit: Nevermind. I am being a man. Didn't read the readme lol. Place into the documents area of the game, not into C:\Windows\Fonts. Score 1 for men idiocy, lol.

Yes, Fallout 4/Skyrim have console support, but that's extremely limited.
EA/Origin you can simply add "-enabledeveloperconsole" to the end of the Target Field. I believe this will work for the GOG version as well.
Steam is the only one I know that requires other means to enable the console... The issue is also dependent on the game version - Ultimate Edition.
