Hey, I apologize if this is really late or you've moved on from this mod, but I noticed that these textures don't work on male characters. Is there a chance you could make a male version?
I really like the aesthetic of the Red version. Gonna try it out in game! Also, could you please share your character's appearance sliders? I can't make a character for the life of me, and most of the other presets I've tried never came out quite right.
For some reason on my character the retexture doesn't apply, my character is male so is that the reason why? If so, I'd really appreciate a male version of this mod, thanks! I have a lot of other retextures that work just fine btw.
Uhh, there seems to be a problem with the ''Black Shroud-Red Skirt-No Chainmail'' because it doesn't seem to change anything, but my other retextures for other armour sets work fine.
I just tested it a bunch of times and found nothing was wrong. Are you certain you've put the file itself into override and not the whole folder? Perhaps you could try redownloading?
How'd you manage to make the chain mail transparent? Every time I tried to make something invisible, the game renders it white =/ Maybe it's the settings I save them in?
I've had this too when I tried to remove other capes and such. As far as I'm aware, I've learned there are two requirements to making something invisible:
1) The texture must already have transparency 2) The model can't have thickness. It must be a flat set of polygons.
Without knowing how the game engine works it is hard to say, but I believe this is because materials in this game have flags for opacity. This is done to make rendering faster by allowing the renderer to skip checking for transparency on models which don't use it. Basically, even if you add transparency it won't be recognised because the material tells the renderer not to check for it.
Also, the white is influenced by iGP11 heavily bleaching the textures. You will want to darken the image A LOT to achieve proper colour levels. In the converter try setting the SRGB value to "in" which more or less does this for you. Unfortunately this means colours can be quite hard to get right.
I recommend setting the game's default state to offline, so you can skip the automatic login procedure when the game loads. This will allow you to boot up and test changes much faster.
I hope this helps, though it probably means the set you wanted to edit isn't doable :(
I figured out what you meant when I found out that some sets in Photoshop had an alpha and others did not. Ah, well - I really only wanted to remove the cloak from the Firekeeper Set. And yeah, the color issue is really annoying.
Right now I'm trying to remove the 'spraying snow' effect from the Irithyll weapons, but no such luck.
Heh, fire keeper garb was my first choice of cape removal as well ^^
But yeah, I found the texture for the Irithyll Sword once but didn't look at it enough to know if the effect is part of it. The game appears to load a metric arse ton of particle effect sheets, so it may be in one of those. If it is so, I would recommend a process of elimination: Take all the particle sheets and make them transparent, then check in game. if it works, keep restoring them one by one to find the correct one.

wonderful work, would you be able to do also a capeless Undead Legion set? That would be Awesome!
Take a look at it?
Let me know if it's still not working.
