I have done everything to install this mod and checked it a few times. it never does anything to it in game. It sucks cause this is my favorite weapon. I did put the files into its own folder inside the tex_override folder though if that did anything wrong to it.
EDIT: I probably should have tried bringing it out of the folder before postinf this but it worked. Great mod.
i'll look it over and see if it's worth the effort. I do want to update the blade a bit though, i know that, but i'll see if i can do something with the handle as well. Not 100% when i can do it so don't expect anything immediate.
Just giving an annoying detail that i've been shown regarding the sword this mod is replacing. It is also found on the statue in the building the Hellkite Drake lands on, the only difference i think there is is in size. So in other words, to make this even more awesome you should somehow gain the proper knowledge to replace the statue as well.
Yeah, there are quite a few that do. The only thing is the texture names are different between the two games. Also in DS2 almost all of the armors have separate gender textures. So instead of just having one texture set for a particular armor you will have two, one set for the male and female version. It's really annoying and redundant. Oh, and there are multiple resolutions you have to deal with in DS2. In DS1 there was only one resolution for the textures.
But yeah, if you have a favorite texture mod for a weapon or armor that is in both games then they are most likely able to be swapped. You just need to know the proper names to rename the textures.
Thanks for the detailed reply. I thought there would be similar textures, what I didn't know was the multiple resolutions and gender seperate files. Crazy details on the sword, and I'm really happy your DKS2 version is doing well as well!
