Sorry, but I don't own an ps3 control. I'm unaware if the game uses a special texture when you plug the PS3 control; the buttons layout (within the game), etc., and I could not test it.
The game doesn't have a special option for PS3 controller, it keeps the same button icons. What that person meant was a version where there are PS3 control icons to replace the Xbox 360 ones (for example, instead of a Y icon from Xbox 360, you do a triangle icon from PS3)
