Don't want to judge but your preset is exactly the same as presented here, I checked: http://www.nexusmods.com/darksouls/mods/289/? The Cinematic one Nice job copying SeemsGood
I literally downloaded the sweetFx configurator and changed the values all by myself.
Granted the rest of the necessary files I just downloaded from some random sweet fx but the preset is 100% original, with my settings.
There is only so much you can change with sweetfx. So it might look similar.
Also the link you provided explicitly states that it includes hdr, which I added as an optional file as recently as yesterday since I think the resulting image is marginally better but also very subjective; so much so that you don't really need it.
I specifically listed what I changed in the description section.
But if you are implying that I copy pasted a preset you are dead wrong, Sir.
It saddens me, that you would think that way. But in no way surprises me. People need to undermine a friendly gesture for reasons that is beyond me.
I shared my own version with the sole intention of making you guys a little bit more content with this game.
Also, it is not the same. My preset is way darker than your link. In fact my preset is so dark, that I specifically tell you to push your ingame brightness to max or it would be pitch black.
Yes I did compare, sir. I compared your v1.1 and it's all the same as that Cinematic one, I was wondering why it looks so familiar... The actual HDR shader isn't included in that one. Download and compare by yourself. Same numbers, you added some Bloom and HDR over it later in the new version. Honestly I don't care, it's just not nice what you're doing. I could be wrong though, but I doubt you can enable the same shaders and configure it all the same randomly.
I don't think you get it. It is not the same. I just wasted my precious time to check ur theory.
So I Actually have a preset txt file and ur cinematic one doesnt. So I assume he changed the original file. SO I checked for differences. And Good Lord. WHat have I found???????
I feel like your empty words are just fairy dust. So I Added Pictures so that every1 can see the goddamn difference. If you want I can highlight them for you. I dont mind taking you by the hand all the way:

Left one is mine, Right one is the cinematic one. Look for yourself. It is just not nice blaming me for something I never did.
Granted the changes are not crazy huge, but then again as I said: There is only so much you can change.
I believe justice has been served, all over your back, Sir. If there are still any problems I can make a livestream and put big red circles on the differences in real time just for you to understand
Hi, i followed the instructions, and extracted everything into the D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition folder and i have no results. Game looks the same and f9 does nothing. I must have messed something up, please help. Thanks!
Open steam. Go to your library. Right click on dark souls Ptde Now you should see properties. Open properties. Now click on local files. Then you should see "browse local files" Click on that. Click on Data. You should see the DarkSouls.exe file Extract everything in there.
This should work. With this there is no way your path is wrong. Try it again and extract everything in there. In the file I uploaded there are two folders. Don't extract the folders contents just drop it in the data folder.
Also Try a clean install and use Dsfix for optimization problems. That's all I can say m8
If it worked your game should look initially really dark. DOn't be alarmed and just put the ingame brightness to max.
If it still doesn't work( it really should), you could try one last thing, which I had to do(but for differnet reasons entirely) to solve the problem.
In your specific case it might have something to do with Data execution prevention. Basically, your system prevents certain files from executing if it things it may cause the sytsem to get harmed etc etc. This feature is basically on all the time. And I had to do this to get the 60fps unlock to work for me too.
You can pinpoint to a exe.file and the system won't prevent its execution and any data who is hooking on to it. ( In layman's terms. No expert here.)
How to disable DEP:
1. Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl, and then click OK. ( If you are on win 10, just typpe it in the search tab)
2. On the Advanced tab, under Performance, click Settings.
3. On the Data Execution Prevention tab
4. Click Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select to select the OptOut policy, and then click Add to add the path to the DarkSouls.exe file( The dark souls icon in the data folder)
If this doesn't work for you, I am at my wit's end...
Okay, so turns out it was working. Just the f9 key didn't toggle it. It's the Scroll Lock key. I thought i noticed the difference, but i also had installed all the HD texture mods at the same time so i wasn't sure without the toggle. But it's definitely noticeable now! Looks great! And thanks for the help.
Glad you liked it and I agree. I am waiting for a 2k texture overhaul for years and I mean New textures ripped off of Dark Souls 3 like graphics :3 But then again, dont know if the old engine can actually manage those :/

Did you even compare to begin with...
