I installed this mod on my mid-playthrough in the GOG version of the game, but I get localization string bugs, even though I ran the .bat file. Is there anyway to fix this?
Sorry for the absence, had a lot of stuff going on, hard to keep uploading to both steam and Nexus so I primarily upload new version to steam and then update to Nexus once a bunch of changes were made. Today I am updating all my mods to their latest versions and also uploading the new Arduous Edition that I have been working on over the years.
@spieeeder You should be able to get the Revenant from the stagecoach, this latest version I uploaded today fixes a ton and also makes cool new change. ^^
@IonizedSalmon 3 years too late, but if you ever have issues just reinstall the whole game, delete all files and then fresh install, sometimes things can get corrupted.
If the revenant dies can another spawn in the stage coach? Or would he be dead forever? My revenant died to a heart attack and ive gone through 10 more weeks and havn't seen him in the stage coach
i can't get this to work :/ my mod is loaded but i can never get this guy to spawn.. i get a feeling something has happened. but i don't know what. Are there any known mods that may conflict with this?

I'm curious, is it possible for modders to make summonable heroes like the backer heroes? Being able to go to the coach and just summon your classes would be awesome, I wanna attempt a play through using only them
yes, it should be possible to add a hero to the backer list, if someone has a decompiler so the json file can be edited.
yes, it is very easy to start the game with revenant waiting for you in town by editing the stage_coach.building.json file
you need to edit the coach to have an extra slot in the beginning of the game, and then you just add "revenant" to the list of soldiers you start with instead of just "plague_doctor" and "vestal"
edit the following lines in that file after "first_hero_classes" :
change those lines and you will start with 3 soldiers including a revenant.
I just tried it out, and it works fine.
note, the files are located in separate places depending on your game difficulty settings. for "normal" difficulty, the file is in:
(wherever your game install directory is)\Darkest Dungeon The Color of Madness\campaign\town\buildings\stage_coach
and for radiant it's:
(install directory)\Darkest Dungeon The Color of Madness\modes\radiant\campaign\town\buildings\stage_coach
I just wish I could get it to appear in the stagecoach normally during an already running game, but 20 weeks and no revenant, even with a double sized stagecoach (20 recruits at a time).
I guess I will have to start a new game if I actually want to play it.

turns out there is a bug, and the game will NEVER summon a revenant to the stage coach unless you force it.
I'm trying to see if I can work around this by dropping the hero class straight into the heroes folder.
Oh wow that is a first, well i don't know honestly, depends on the skin i guess... You know what, just go for it, idc. As long as it's not some sort of adult nude skin i'm fine with it. ^^
