Hello people!
I recently started modding 7 Days to die and by making some research I found that nobody has created new playable characters yet. The only topic I've found was VRoid Avatars as Player Model which allows modders create VRoid character and import them into the game.
However I'm a Resident Evil modder, I've been working with high poly models since the RE Engine was born, I'm very used in terms of creating and porting models, especially in limited games.

That said, my goal wasn't only to import "anime/cartoon" characters which VRoid provides, I wanted to import something more realistic, like you've probably seen in zombie models, but not playable.
I realized that VRM was used only for conversion, so I took my models and create this.

Here's my Claire Redfield port.

I've ported this model directly from my mod for RE2 Remake
Yeah there's 3 color variation and you can change in real time, thanks to Alt3r3d

This game doesn't have a great shader for characters so I recommend you decrease your bright a little bit, I usually play with 50.
I also recommend set your fov above 60 if you'll play in third person, so you can see the entire model

I made a video showcase with 3 more skins.
Marie Rose, katsumi and playable Jen.
katsumi was my first import, more "cartoon" and close to the Vroid limitation. Marie Rose was a blender project and Jen was a xps model, I decided not extract the original Jen from the game because I wanted to test models format. All these mods will be available for download soon.
Play as Jen (A21)
Playable Marie Rose (A21)
Playable Lady Hunk (A21)
Playable Mai Shiranui (A21)
Playable Leon RE4 Remake (A21)
Playable Hunk (A21)

As I said before, I used VRoid Avatars as Player Model by Alter to make all this possible, it's an experimental project, I'll try to keep in touch with the author and update my files as needed.

Stay tuned for more news soon.
