I managed to make the alternative autfits work, here's what you need to know in case you're confused about it like I am:
1- Golden suit, Pijamas and Cabare Manager are NOT in the mod, and neither is Kiryu's model for the final bossfight. 2- For the alt outfits to work, you gotta download the RMM version and put the load order like so: 1st FemaleKiryu, 2nd FemaleKiryuAltOutfits. 3- The model has issues with the hands not closing propperly, ragdolls not working (doesn't affect gameplay but looks goofy), seems running down the chest and back in the shirtless model. 4- the shirtless model DOES NOT show cleavage, it instead uses a waistband that acts like a top and covers part of the tattoo.
So, I might've found a solution to get the shirtless Kiryu model to work, but not any other models just yet. Maybe this can shed some light on things. So, I downloaded the mod via Ryu Mod Manager. In the base mod's folder, there should be another folder that says AltOutfits. Copy that and paste it in your mods folder, loading it before the base mod.
I got everything working (even the voice) but none of the alternative outfits work. I put the contents of the alt outfits and shirtless model file in the mods folder but it still doesn't work.
i apologize this might be late but how do i install in in the ryu mod manager? i put it in a file and it didnt work, do i have to extract all of the files?
Hi, none of the outfits other than the base one work. I'm not sure why. I've tried a few different things, but nothing has worked. Whenever I try on the other costumes, it just loads in the normal Kiryu variant of that costume, not even a glitched version of it, just the base Kiryu version.
I managed to install it, let me help you: 1. Create a folder somewhere, name doesn´t mather. I called mine "genderbent Kiryu" 2. Go to your games install folder: ~/Yakuza Kiwami 2 open the data folder and copy "char.par" into the newly created folder. 3. Now you need to download this: https://github.com/Kaplas80/ParManager/releases/tag/v1.3.3 unzip it and put it into the folder you created (you only need "ParTool.exe") 4. Drag the "char.par" you copied earlier onto the ParTool.exe and now a new window should open. Wait for it to disappear. 5. A Folder named "char.par.unpack" should have appeared now. 6. Now rename "char.par" into something else. I chose "char1.par". 6. Create a folder named "char". That folder should have the same folder-order as "char.par.unpack". What I did was that I copied the insides of "char.par.unpack" and deleted everything except of "dds" and "tops". Those are the ones you need. (obviously dont delete "lexus2") 7. Delete the insides of those 2 folders mentioned in 6, as we only want to copy the files we need. 8. Download this: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/691034746289127424/724333007938519060/add.bat and copy it into the folder you created in 1. 9. Change the name of "add.bat" into "add.chara.bat" (the type of the file needs to stay .bat) 10. Now we need the mod we want to install. Unzip "c_cw_Kiryu" into ~\genderbent Kiryu\chara\lexus2\tops and obviously "dds" into ~\genderbent Kiryu\chara\lexus2\dds. 11. Now if you also want the alt outfits, unzip all the folders starting with "c_cw_Kiryu_" also into ~\genderbent Kiryu\chara\lexus2\tops and also copy "dds" into the folder mentioned in 10 for dds. 12. Now run add.chara.bat. A new window should open, wait for it to dissappear. Now a file called "char.par" should have been created. 13. Now copy "char.par" and db.par into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Yakuza Kiwami 2\data. Use db.par of alt outfits, if you installed the alt outfits. Otherwise use the one from the main-mod.
Thats it, you should have the mod installed. I´d recommend creating a backup of the files you are going to change, to prevent downloading the whole game again, if something goes wrong.
For some reason Yakuza-modders dont like to write tutorials. Look at the community of Mass Effect modding. Every single mod has a tutorial how to install them. Thats how you need to handle it, especially if you want to get more people into modding of your game. On top of that Mass Effect modding isn´t as complicated as Yakuza-modding.
What's the correlation to comparing modding difficulty to Mass Effect, it's not our faults that the games are more "complicated" to mod considering that each of the games have different developmental techniques that we have to work around compared to, again, Mass Effect Also, we do have guides in our Discord modding server, it's just that people either straight up ignore them, or they read it, and don't even know how to drag and drop something to an exe.
We have discord server, theres all guides about installing mods and etc. Theres a lot of mods which not relesead on nexusmods You should check out it https://discord.gg/bp9GCWnXdZ

Really cool mod :3
They just need some testing and right now i'm still kinda busy, someday i'll get to it
even after looking and following every guide i could find
