Version 1.0
Nishiki QOL Mod became KgG UNM, Huge update that added complete replacement of models, a new moveset and even more UI additions. Fixed numerous bugs and swapped Jugement's animations. Reports from here will be seperated by submod, A = Moveset, E = Exe, M = Models, U = UI/Text, S = Sound, Z = any misc items such as text documents.
Version 0.37
Beginning of the next large sound expansion by tweaking the large library of .awb files in the SE .cpk that have been a nightmare to sort through. Most notably this update adds and requires parless install. Also updated optional models to higher res versions. Some minor UI content additions - This file and accompanying optional models were removed as Parless didn't play nice with this mod. Back to regular install (0.371 also added an extra heat action effect
Version 0.36
Mostly bugfixes from 0.35, a large number of the previous sound files were muting in-game. A few new sound additions but a relatively minor update.
Version 0.35
Added Nishikis BGM to the 'Koi' Legend style. Further implements minigame coverage allowed by the Yakuza 7 sound files
Version 0.4
Huge update. Partial RMM Parless support, added a number of text string edits, further UI modifications and even more sounds. We're at near complete coverage here. In addition this update added a number of special blue effects for NIshiki and his Koi style, and features a custom .exe file. Version 0.41 adds a missing Hact file.
Version 0.3
Finally overcame the roadblock in 0.2 and implemented many of the previously muted sounds with proper replacements, most notably combat and overworld running sounds. This huge expansion included a large number of sounds lifted from Yakuza 7, which meant that minigame coverage effectively doubled, and the mod could be completed to a higher quality. Introduction of optional models.
Version 0.2
Tweaked the bed of Styx portrait UI to be facing the correct direction, added audio changes. A few minigames are fully covered, and Nishiki and his counterpart Kiryu has various ambient dialogue that will fire in some minigames and in generic conversations and side quests. Combat encounter dialogue was also added, and the Judgement audio is now swapped on a basic level.
Due to a certain roadblock, the remainder of sounds not covered are mostly muted - either dummy files were implemented to fill a stopgap, or technical problems are causing my files to not be read by the game currently. Will be fixed in the next major update which should largely 'complete' the mod to a state that can then be polished.
Koi ga Gotoku is an ambitious mod that replaces everything Kiryu related in Yakuza 0 with nishiki versions. This includes everything from models, sound, UI, movesets, text and effects. It features a modular install, so you can pick what features of the mod you wish to download.
The scope of this mod is primarily aimed at those on premium adventure, though over time we may address some story elements. It is not recommended that you use this mod until you have completed the game.
This mod is still under development, and so more features will be added over time.
Currently addressed in this mod: -All major models have been replaced with Nishiki versions, and vice versa Nishiki has been replaced with Kiryu. -All combat sounds have been replaced as above -All minigames have been covered and are fully voiced - there remain some minor bugs that result in some sound muting currently, and Karaoke is WIP. -Judgement has been swapped fully -Legend Moveset has been completely reworked for Nishiki, including fancy effects. -Special effects for other moves -Text string editing has been largely completely replaced, some elements are still WIP, and some still need a bit of polish. -A custom exe file has been created, complete with Nishiki logo.
Credit for some of the UI elements used in creating the fighting style UI goes to BenUseful and his Nishiki mod for Kiwami
Huge thanks to the people who helped out making this mod, including Minh and Onomichio
