There are 2 incorrect records in Localization\XComGame.int SpadeLabRew_Upgrade1 and SpadeLabRew_Upgrade2 should be renamed to SpadeLabRewTemplate_Upgrade1 and SpadeLabRewTemplate_Upgrade2 respectively.
I am having an issue where the lab resets itself after every mission. Assigning scientists there appears to be working (I haven't done the math to see if it does or not) but the scientist will be unassigned once I come back from a mission. Similarly, buying an upgrade (just gotten it to tier 2 so far) and assigning a scientist doesn't help, and it resets the paid for upgrade. It could be a mod conflict. The only mods that I am running that touch similar features are Additional Proving Ground Engineer (http://www.nexusmods.com/xcom2/mods/108/?) and Engineer2Scientist (http://www.nexusmods.com/xcom2/mods/323/?)

There is already a mod that adds multiple engineers to the Proving Grounds called Additional Proving Ground Engineer http://www.nexusmods.com/xcom2/mods/108/?

I don't know if it fill fix broken saves, but it should.
